INTRODUCTIONThe key aspects of this trend it to reshape how we can incorporate different aspects of our life into a garment whether that’s by making it more functional or even fabric that adapts to environment around you.

RE-ADJUST - Everyday shapes and materials are combined out of context to create newness with a recognisable core. Re-made, re woven, re active colour – a new approach to recycling and repurposing is key here. tems are built to last and require tough, strong materials and construction, combining the world of technical sports-wear with an urban edge. A focus on outer-wear and large pieces in particular blends old and new, traditional and tough. Mate-rials play a key role, merging the raw and the refined for a sophisticated quality.

INDEPENDINCE - If there is ever a power faliour many of us would be unable to write and send a letter, to fix even the simplest machine. Connected de-vices enrich our lives but there are risk factors associated with technological dependency. One is ‘digital amnesia’ in the event of a technology failure a simple tasks such as navigating a city (a recent study found that 67% of under-25s in the UK couldn’t read a map) and remembering a phone number are becoming obsolete. Rely-ing on yourself and nature to guide you through times of need should be a priorety to many peo-ple, with such chages we need to be prepared in all aspects of life inculding fashion. Creating garments with functiality in mind and to be able adapt to the enviroment around you.

MOODCOLOUR

A man-made, industrial feel in-fluences this practical theme for items that are not necessarily mass-produced but can be made to order, with craft artisan details and textures. Colours and materials may at first appear tough, flat and functional, but are surprisingly tac-tile to touch. Shapes are easy and move away from rigid, uniform-style constructions to more relaxed and comfortable proportions. Functional elements and practtical details are key, but evolve to have a more un-derstated and elevated look.
