rDesk Website Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a valuable tool that can capture important information about the visitors on your

rDesk Website. This insight will help you make improvements that will attract more visitors and keep

visitors on your site longer which will increase your lead generation.

At RED, we use Google Analytics to measure website performance and track metrics so we can

continually improve our product and support your efforts in creating a better experience for your

customers.

To set-up Google Analytics for your rDesk Website On the Google Analytics site,

1) Sign up at http://www.google.com/analytics

2) Set Up Your Account

3) Set Up Your Tracking Code

On rDesk Website,

1) Login to Admin

2) Click on My Website

3) Click on Analytics

4) Copy and paste your Site Verification Key and Tracking Code received when you set-up your

Google Analytics account and tracking code above

5) Click Submit

To use Google Analytics to monitor your rDesk Website Once you have your tracking code in place, you can then utilize the information Google Analytics is

capturing about your website.

On the Google Analytics site,

1) Login to your account

2) On the Dashboard view,

a. Click Analytics Settings to view and edit all of your Analytics accounts and profiles

b. Choose from the View Reports dropdown menu

c. Go to another analytics account using the My Analytics Accounts dropdown list

3) To view more detailed information on site usage and visitor interaction with your site, click

Visitors

4) To view for a specific period, select Date Range, click Apply

4) To view which sources are driving the most traffic to your site, click Traffic Sources

5) To view information on specific pages such as time on page, landing and exit information, click

6) To export the report, click Export and select a format

7) You will be prompted to Open, Save or Cancel by your browser
