High Performance Clustering and Fault ToleranceThe RCS Mobile Severs are built with a modular and scalabledesign for carrier-class deployments and supports 2 tiers ofclustering -- edge servers and state servers -- for maximumscalability and fault-tolerance. End-points connect toedge-servers, edge-servers connect to state-servers and

state-servers connect to the persistent storage (such asMySQL database). The system dynamically works around anysingle-point of failure. Load-balancing among edge-servers isachieved using round-robin DNS SRV.
