After the silver medals gained by Brut Rosé and Blanc de Blancs, Cuvage received a new award from the international competition “Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships”.

A new international success for Cuvage. After the silver medals gained by Brut Rosé and Blanc de Blancs, the international competition “Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships”, organized by Tom Stevenson, has assigned to our maison the prestigious “Chairman’s Trophy”. Our Rosè, a traditional method made from Nebbiolo grapes, was awarded by the most important international competition dedicated to bubbles.

CUVAGE GETS THE CHAIRMAN’S TROPHY FROM TOM STEVENSON’S COMPETITION

Our Cuvage Brut Rosé and Blanc de Blancs got the silver medal in the international competition “Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships” (CSWWC) created by the renowned British journalist Tom Stevenson.

Tom Stevenson himself had previously evalutated positively our classic method based on 100% Nebbiolo, saying at the San Francisco Wine School that “the most impressive non-conventional sparkling wine grape I have recently come across is Cuvage Rosé Brut ... so pale, so delicate, so fine...”

VINO: A CUVAGE 'CHAIRMAN'S TROPHY' DEL CONCORSO DI TOM STEVENSON = Roma, 7 set. (Adnkronos/Labitalia) - Un nuovo successo internazionale per Cuvage, la cantina di Acqui Terme sotto il cui marchio si produce esclusivamente metodo classico. Dopo la medaglia d'argento al Brut Rosé e al Blanc de Blancs, il concorso internazionale 'Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships', promosso da Tom Stevenson, ha assegnato alla maison piemontese anche il prestigioso 'Chairman's Trophy'. A ricevere il riconoscimento da quello che è il più importante concorso internazionale dedicato alle bollicine è stato il Brut Rosé, metodo classico ottenuto da uve Nebbiolo. "Sono onorato di questo titolo, un riconoscimento - afferma Stefano Ricagno, responsabile della qualità di Cuvage che ha ritirato il premio - che conferma la nostra attenzione alla qualità e l'alto livello dei nostri spumanti, capaci di conquistare la critica internazionale".

La competizione 'Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships', creata dal giornalista inglese e svoltasi a Londra, ha dunque scelto Cuvage per uno dei suoi titoli più prestigiosi, dopo aver già riconosciuto alla stessa cantina la 'Silver Medal' per due delle etichette di punta: il Blanc de Blancs, l'etichetta ottenuta da un'attenta selezione di uve 100% Chardonnay con un minimo di 24 mesi di affinamento sui lieviti, e lo spumante Rosè Brut, ricavato da uve 100% Nebbiolo, raccolte a mano.

Comme quoi, ce n'est pas la DOC ou la DOCG qui fait la qualité d'un produit...

Cuvage (né de cuvée et perlage) est une marque de coopérative qui a pu naître grâce à la collaboration de la famille Ricagno,viticultrice depuis 1888 dans le Piémont, la cave coopérative d'Acqui, la Vecchia Cantina Sociale di Alice Bel Colle d'Asti et la MGMMondo del Vino (une société exportatrice de vins italiens).

La coopérative élabore plusieurs vins effervescents d'appellation Vino Spumante sous différentes marques. Cuvage représente le hautde gamme et se distingue à travers 3 vins effervescents dont ce rosé, élaboré en méthode traditionnelle, à partir du nebbiolo.

Commentaire de la cuvée Rosé - Brut

Le Nebbiolo est présent au niveau aromatique par des notes de noyaux de cerises très nettes, toutefois le pamplemousse domine au premier nez. Ce fruité seretrouve en bouche au sein d'une effervescence foisonnante et crémeuse, enveloppée d'une fine amertume. Le dosage est réussi, il complète une élaborationsimple et soignée. C'est un bon mousseux rosé, davantage axé sur la pureté du fruit que sur le développement des arômes en cave, je le préconise donc àl'apéritif ou sur une entrée très fraîche.
