Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations 2007 Safety signs must be used whenever a hazardor danger can’t be avoided adequately or reduced in another way. Employees must be provided withinformation and instruction on measures to be taken and the meaning of signs. When reviewing theeffectiveness of Health and Safety Signs for your site or premises you must consider; sign design, sign function,number of signs required and correct sign positioning.

Self-Adhesive Vinyl is flexible PVC with a high tack adhesive backing. This product is suitable forinterior and exterior use. For a good bond ensure that the sign is fixed to a smooth, clean & non-poroussurface.

Rigid PVC Plastic is a durable hard wearing plastic which is suitable for interior and exterior use. Signs

are available in 1mm, 2mm and 3mm rigid plastic.

Composite Aluminium (Dibond) is a strong durable material with excellent longevity in normalenvironmental conditions. This product is suitable for interior and exterior use and can be laminated foradditional durability.

Corriboard is a fluted lightweight PVC material which is ideal for temporary and budget site signage.

Special Signs - RASS manufacture signs on most types of available materials in whatever size andquantity you require. We also offer multi-lingual signs. If you do not find a sign product in our standardsignage range suitable for your application please let us know and we will be happy to manufacture to yourspecification.

Prohibition signs are an alarm or danger sign meaning; stop, shut-down, emergency cut out devices orevacuate. They instruct, inform and advise staff and visitors in any action which is specifically prohibited. Theshape of the sign is round with a red foreground, white background and black symbol or pictogram.

Warning signs alert you to be careful, take precautions and examine. They instruct, advise and forewarn staffand visitors of the potential dangers arising around the workplace. Mandatory signs instruct staff and visitors that a specific behaviour or action is required such as the wearingof PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Fire fighting equipment signs identify the type of fire fighting equipment and its location. The shape of thesign is rectangular or square with red background and the equipment symbol in white.Please see below our fire fighting equipment signs which comply with Health and Welfare at WorkRegulations 2007, BS5499 and the Health & Safety (Signs & Signals) Regulations 1996.
