SAFETY INFORMATIONSpecific Safety InstructionsElectrical generator must always be grounded,(connected to earth).

Petrol or diesel powered generators must neverbe used in an unventilated closed spaces. Theexhaust fumes are highly dangerous and cancause “Carbon Monoxide Poisoning” which willcause drowsiness and death.

The generator must be mounted on a firm levelsurface.

The electrical output load must not exceed themaximum load stated on the rating plate.

Exceeding the rated load will damage the unitor shorten its life and will invalidate theguarantee.

The engine must not be run at speeds thatexceed the maximum stated on the rating plate.

Operating an engine at excessive speedsincreases the hazard of personal injury.

Do not tamper with components, which mayincrease or decrease the governed speed.

Mains extension leads, mains supply leads, andall electrical equipment must be in good workingcondition.

Never operate electrical equipment withdamaged or defective mains supply leads.

Keep the area around the generator clear ofobstructions at all times. Never locate thegenerator against a building or near a canvas orplastic structure i.e. Tents etc.

Always use the correct fuel mix as stated in theuser manual and on the rating plate.

To prevent fire, always stop the engine whenrefueling and never over fill the fuel tank.

Always clean up spilt fuel immediately usingsand.

Do not use the generator in or near an explosiveatmosphere.

To prevent an electric shock, never operate themachine in rain, snow or touch with wet hands.

Check the fuel system periodically for leaks, seals and hoses should be checked for signs ofdeterioration or chafing. Check for loose ormissing clamps, damaged fuel tank or filler cap.All defects should be corrected before furtheruse.

Always allow the generator to reach fulloperating speed before connecting anyelectrical load.

Always disconnect the electrical load beforeswitching the generator off.

To prevent surging that may possibly damageelectrical equipment, do not allow engine to runout of fuel while electrical loads are connected.

Before transporting the generator in a vehicle, drain all fuel to prevent leakage.

To prevent an electric shock and fire, neverconnect an electrical load with the electricaloutput switched on.

Do not connect the generator to any otherelectrical source.

The engine speed has been factory set toprovide safe operation. Tampering with theengine speed adjustment could result inoverheating of attachments and could cause afire. Never attempt to “speed-up” the engine toobtain more performance. Both the outputvoltage and frequency will be thrown out ofstandard by this practice, endangeringattachments and the user.

Store the generator in a well-ventilated area withthe fuel tank empty.

Fuel Filling instructionsWarning! Select bare ground for fuelling andmove at least 10 feet (3m) from fuelling spotbefore starting the engine. After refuelling, properly tighten fuel cap; wipe off any spilledfuel and check for leakage.

The figures quoted are emission levels and arenot necessarily safe working levels. Whilst thereis a correlation between the emission andexposure levels, this cannot be used reliably todetermine whether or not the actual level ofexposure of the workroom, the other sources ofnoise etc. i.e. the number of machines and theadjacent processes and the length of time forwhich an operator is exposed to the noise. Alsothe permissible exposure level can vary fromcountry. This information however, will enable theuser of the machine to make a better evaluationof the hazard and risk. The supplierrecommends the use of ear protection at alltime.
