Ramsey Lewis is an American jazz legend. A composer, pianist and radio personality Ramsey has recorded over 80 albums and has received seven gold records and three Grammy Awards in his career. Ramsey has been an iconic leader in the contemporary jazz movement for over 50 years, with an unforgettable sound and outgoing personality that has allowed him to cross over to the pop and R&B charts.

Throughout his illustrious career, Lewis has also joined forces with countless other artists to create new and innovative music. He has collaborated with Nancy Wilson. London’s Philharmonic Orchestra, Dr. Billy Taylor, Grover Washington, Jr., Earl Klugh, Dave Koz and recently with Dee Dee Bridgewater, John Pizzarelli and Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire.

Now Ramsey is ready to share his love of Motown with the brilliant singer/songwiter Valerie Simpson who has written some of Motown’s greatest hits and is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Valerie Simpson, one half of the beloved and legendary songwriter/producers and performers Ashford & Simpson has written some of the biggest hits of her generation. Ashford & Simpson wrote for the likes of Chuck Jackson and Ray Charles before joining the production staff at Motown and creating hits for many of the company’s top acts, notably Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.

Their incredible run of hits includes “Let’s Go Get Stoned”, “Your Precious Love”, “Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing”, “You’re All I Need To Get By”, “Reach Out and Touch”, “The Boss”, “I’m Every Woman” and scores of other songs. Valerie has written and produced for a who’s who of music legends including Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Marvin Gaye and many others.
