Highlights

On the occasion of 75th anniversary of “Quit India movement” an educational trip was organized on 31 August for grade V.

The presence of students for the field trip clearly reflected the curiosity of the young minds, to know about this famous movement.

The exhibition had four sections. They were :

1. Prelude to the Quit India Movement, 2. Resolution for the Movement, 3.Impact of Quit Movement and 4.Azad Hind Fauz.

The major attractions of this exhibition were the historical background of the heroes of this movement like Yusuf Meher Ali, Ram Manohar Lohia and Bhagvandas Kriplani.

The most appealing part of the event was the acknowledgement of the pivotal role of women in the movement. The students could understand it from the information about Usha Mehta's radio broadcast from 14th August, 1942-12th November, 1942 and Aruna Asaf Ali's role in “Inquilab”newspaper. All these aspects were covered in the first three sections of the exihibition.

In the last section was about Matangini Hazrat, who sacrificed her life in this movement, uttering the words of Vande mataram even in her last breath.

This educational trip was indeed a great learning experience for our students as it aptly portrayed the stature and struggle of Indians so that our future generations live an independent life.

Students were made fully aware of the aspirations of our Prime Minister regarding the beginning of ''Quit India Movement'' in a novel manner through the presentation that was shown over there.
