Going digital is not just a technological shift however, it is an organisational change too, at the intersection of technology, business and people.
As we continue to move further into the modern digital revolution, tech’s potential to change the world through a more diverse and inclusive workforce is limitless…and with the prospect of new technologies still undiscovered ahead, it’s a genuinely exciting time to be in — or get into — tech!
However, we need to start realising that the technology of tomorrow will require us ALL to play a role in its advancement! The advance of technology is creating new jobs, and we therefore need ‘new’ people to fill these roles, those looking to actively shape the future!
It is this drive to digital that every company faces – tech and non-tech - that is at the heart of Women in Technology! We are founded upon 3 core pillars aimed at tackling the intersection of technology, business and people, celebrating the successes, and inspiring those in tech to create change across all elements of diversity and inclusion (not just gender) and drive the tech economy forwards:
1. To be at the forefront of new technology trends, demonstrating their real-world applications and potential impact for positive change2. To change mindsets and drive action and change around all issues in diversity and inclusion making sure the tech workforce can match the pace of technological advancement3. Ensuring that the tech sector has the people, skills and opportunities they need to succeed, driving forward the tech economy of the future
We’re proud to have created a community focused towards empowerment, action and change. One where we pull each other up, than try and stop people succeeding. We champion women in tech, celebrate business advances and give a voice to inspiration through shared success stories of triumph and change in the face of adversity!

WHY ATTEND?
Women working in technology remain a minority. A 50:50 gender spilt is what we at European Women in Tech are pushing for. How does your region fare in the fight to close the gender gap?
CENTRAL EASTERN EUROPERomania is now the second-fastest growing economy in Europe, with Bulgaria coming in fifth. Both of these countries boast high percentages of women in STEM.
SOUTHERN EUROPEGreece demonstrates a high level of gender inequality in tech. The gender pay gap stands at 25.4%, 14.8% more than the country’s average gender pay gap.
BENELUXDespite female tech workers in the Netherlands earning an average of £42,819 (£5,889 more than the UK), the number of female STEM graduates is low – just 18.7%. NORDICThe Nordic region is renowned for making strides towards gender equality and the area upholds a gender pay gap of less than 18% for tech. DACHGermany, Austria, and Switzerland are lagging behind in the gender diversity space with respective tech gender pay gaps of 25.0%, 22.7%, and 22.3%.
