Secretary - SEAR Pharm Forum; for giving us the opportunity to compile, publish and maintain

the i CARE Bulletin (An Official publication of the SEARPharm Forum) “initiative to Curb

Antimicrobial Resistance” as Editorial Board, for which we will assure and extend a committed

and dedicated contributions.

1. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, conducted FIRE

TRAINING PROGRAMME for students; Dist. Fire Officer N. Jayanna inaugurated the

Programme on 14th May, 2018 at RIPER campus for which around 550 students

participated. All volunteers and students had training on fire fighting and learned life

saving techniques under his able guidance, in case of fire accidents.

2. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized BLOOD

DONATION CAMP on 14th June 2018 in association with RDT Hospital Bathalapalli;

Anantapuramu and Programme was inaugurated by the RIPER Principal Dr. Y.

Padmanabha Reddy, JNTUA NSS Programme coordinator Dr. DMS Deva Kumar,

Correspondent Dr. J. Raveendra Reddy, Programme officer NSS RIPER Dr. KV

Veerabhadrappa, RDT hospital blood bank director Dr. Kishore. Pharmacy Practice

Department Asso Prof G. Narayana, Dr. Mohan Raj, Director Dr. Sudheer and his team

members participated in the Programme. Nearly 150 volunteers and students donated

the blood.

3. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, International Yoga Day

on 21st June 2018 for which Principal& Prof. Y. Padmanabha Reddy, Dr. J Raveendra

Reddy inaugurated and yoga training was given to the student volunteers by Yoga guru

Mr. KISHORE, Vivekananda Yoga Kendram in which more than 250 members of students,

volunteers and faculty had actively participated in the Programme.

4. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, conducted Medicinal

Garden Maintenance Programme on 1st August, 2018 for which Principal & Prof. Y.

Padmanabha Reddy, Dr. J Raveendra Reddy participated and medicinal plants supervisor

Associated Professor Dr. KV Veerabhadrappa was given lecture on medicinal plant

importance to the student volunteers. Mentioned name plates, Biological source, AC,

Uses, Family and description pertaining to each individual plant. Student volunteers and

faculty had actively participated in the Programme.

5. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, conducted ANTI-

RAGGING PROGRAMME at RIPER on 8th August 2018 in which Sub inspector Mr. Suresh

(Itakalapalli police station) inaugurated this Programme and the 540 students were

educated about the laws and punishments related to ragging and helpline services.

6. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, on the occasion of

Independence Day 15th August 2018, at RIPER campus NSS Unit Volunteers participated

and flag hoisting done in the morning. NSS decided that on every Monday will be observed

as SWACHAABHARATH– Pakhwada- Clean Drive at College Libraries, Class rooms,

Gardens, Prof. Y. Padmanabha Reddy administered Swachh Bharat Pakhwada with all

Faculty, Non-Teaching Staff and Students more than 350 Student volunteers took part in

Mass Cleaning Drive.

7. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, NSS volunteer students

organized and conducted games for the TEACHER’S DAY for which all the faculty were

participated and share their experience and happiness with the students. Games

organized are musical chairs, cricket, volleyball and chess and khabadi for faulty and

winners were distributed mementos.

8. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, every year celebrates

24th September 2018 as NSS Foundation Day at RIPER campus. Prof Y.Padmanabha Reddy

was the chief guest. Dr. J. Raveendra Reddy, NSS program Officer Dr. K.V.

Veerabhadrappa, faculty and Student Volunteers took part NSS oath.

9. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, every year celebrates

WORLD PHARMACISTS DAY in association with S.K. University Pharmacy College, JNTUA-

OTRI, Balaji College of Pharmacy organized World Pharmacist Day 25th September 2018.

NSS has conducted Essay & quiz competition on medicine usage and drug resistance.

Programme has been inaugurated by Dr. Y. Padmanabha Reddy, & Drug Inspector Dr.

Hariharateja, S.K. University Pharmacy college Dr. Varalakshmi, Rayalaseema medical

shop association, Walks man and sales man Pharmaceutical company Director Dr. Katta

Anand, Druggist and Chemist Association president Mr. Ranga Reddy, Dr. K.V.

Veerabhadrappa .

10. Dr. KV. Veerabhadrappa NSS Programme officer and Joint secretary acted as contingent

leader for NSS “NATIONAL ADVENTURE TRAINING CAMP” at “Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports” Regional Mountaineering Camp, Mcleod

ganj, Dharmashala, Himachal Pradesh. Dr. KV. Veerabhadrappa Programme officer RIPER

NSS and 5Volunteers were participated in the Programme for 10 days learned Wall

climbing, Rock-climbing, Trekking, Cultural Programme, Camp fire, Surviving, playing

games, Dancing, Singing etc,

11. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, Swachh Bharat

Pakhwada- Clean Drive at Saneevapuram Village on 18th December 2018, in and around

Anantapuramu town, Prof. Y. Padmanabha Reddy and Programme officer administered

Swachh Bharat Pakhwada with all Faculty, Non-Teaching Staff, Student volunteers 225

took part in Swachh Bharat Pakhwada- Clean Drive done at various places like roads, bus

stand, school, govt office etc

12. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, conducted College

Level NSS Youth Festival during 8th and 9th January 2019, where events such as Elocution,

Essay writing, Monoaction, Mimicry, Quiz, Classical dance, Song singing, Bharatanatyam,

folk songs were organized. Many of the students got 1st prizes in competition. All winners

were deputed to District level, University level, State level festival.

13. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, conducted Health

Awareness Programmes in College campuses and Adopted villages to create awareness

to the people on various issues like HIV and AIDS, Nutrition, Hypertension, Cancer

awareness, Cervical Cancer, Diabetes awareness, TB, Dengue, Malaria, Plastic free zone

Sanitation and Health, Clean and Green, Global Warming and Govt Schemes etc.

11 IMMUNIZATION AWARENESS CAMPAIGN 21.12.2018

1. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, conducted organized

ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN at Sanjeevapuram initiate awareness on Village people for

their Safety measures NSS conducted ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN on 15th December 2018,

more than 500 village people participated. Road campaign and the Programme was

inaugurated by Dr. Y. Padmanabha Reddy, and organized by Dr. K.V. Veerabhadrappa

Programme officer, along with NSS volunteers participated in the campaign.

2. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized POLLUTION

WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION CAMPAIGN at Sanjeevapuram to elevate Village

people for their Health awareness, for that IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS

Unit I & II of RIPER conducted POLLUTION WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION CAMPAIGN

on 16th December 2018, more than 800 village people participated. Pollution awareness

Programme was inaugurated by Dr. Y. Padmanabha Reddy, Dr. Ramalingam, and

organized by Dr. K.V. Veerabhadrappa Programme officer, along with many active NSS

volunteers participated in the campaign.

3. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized MOSQUITO

AWARENESS AND ORGANIC MUSHROOM CULTIVATION PROGRAMME at Sanjeevapuram

promoted awareness on malaria and causative agent mosquito and their disease

transmission, symptoms, control, treatment explained to the Village people, Also

explained the cultivation of Mushroom and their importance, on 17th December 2018,

more than 700 village people participated.

4. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized SWACHH

BHARATH PROGRAMME at Sanjeevapuram and conducted many programs under the

Swachh Bharat. Awareness on cleanliness, removed plastics, cleaning of water tanks,

drainage cleaning, sanitation and added alum for water tank, destroy E.coli in the

drainage by adding kerosene and awareness on open defecation for each individual

people of village, on 18th December 2018, more than 600 village people participated.

5. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized WATER

HARVESTING PROGRAMME on 18th December 2018, at Sanjeevapuram volunteers

discussed about how to use and save the water during rainy season and explained through

plastic displays, posters, placards to the village community.

6. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized IMPORTANCE

OF TECHNOLOGY AND HOUSEHOLD WASTE MANAGEMENT CAMPAIGN on 19th December

2018, 19/12/2019 at Sanjeevapuram regarding solar system, soft skills on computers,

new cultivation techniques, suing machines learning their benefits, and house hold waste

to prepare many other useful materials and their benefits, awareness Programme initiate

for the villagers for which more than 800 peoples were participated and they learned

knowledge on new technology and their importance.

7. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized AWARENESS

ON FIRST AID at Sanjeevauram village on 19th December 2018, to initiate and train the

village residents, how to use of the first aid kit in emergency, accidental injuries and we

trained the village peoples in utilization of first aid kit. Our volunteers initiated and

promoted in the village 1550 people to take balanced diet, created awareness on blood

and anemia to all individuals of village.

8. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized AWARENESS

ON ANAEMIA, HIV AND ARTHRITIS at Sanjeevapuram. Our volunteers are motivated each

individual people of village and explained Hemoglobin normal values their importance,

spread of HIV, symptoms, etiology, pathogenesis, epidemiology, treatment and diagnose,

awareness on Arthritis and management of Arthritis on 20th December 2018.

9. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized MASS

PLANTATION on 20th December 2018, Sanjeevauram village and college; and planted

2500 saplings during (2018-19), under MGNREGA scheme in collaboration with

Department of Forests, Govt. of A.P

10. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized AWARENESS

ON DIABETES, HYPERTENSION, SMOKING AND ALCOHOL ABUSE CAMPAIGN at

Sanjeevapuram. Our volunteers are motivated individual people of the village and

explained awareness on diabetes and Hypertension symptoms, etiology, pathogenesis,

epidemiology, treatment and diagnosis. Also initiated awareness on smoking and alcohol

abuse in the village for that NSS conducted AWARENESS ON DIABETES, HYPERTENSION,

and SMOKING on 21st December 2018 in which more than 850 village people participated.

11. IPA Anantapur Branch in association with NSS Unit I & II of RIPER, organized

IMMUNIZATION AWARENESS CAMPAIGN at Sanjeevapuram on 21st December 2018, which

created awareness among 550 village community especially children’s and their parents

by our volunteers. Programme officer Dr. K.V. Veerabhadrappa, Mr. G. Narayana, and

Dr. Mohan Raj Rathinavelu participated and educated the residents.

1. 9th National Conference on Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (PE & OR)

on “Enhancing Patient Health outcomes and Pharmacists Role in Transformed

Healthcare System” organized by ISPOR India Andhra Pradesh Regional Chapter in

association with Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research

(RIPER) and Hospital Pharmacy Division – Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) and

IPA Anantapur Local Branch, at Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education

& Research (RIPER), Andhra Pradesh on 20th and 21st July 2018.

2. Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) sponsored Continuing Education Programme (CEP) on

“Translation Models in Teaching and Research – A Way to Build Socially Sensible

Pharmacists” organized by Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and

Research (RIPER), on 10th – 12th August, 2018.

3. National Conference on Drug Resistance – Challenges in Drug Discovery organized by

Royal Society for Chemistry Deccan Section in association with Raghavendra Institute

of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (RIPER) and Indian Pharmaceutical

Association (IPA) Anantapur Branch, at Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical

Education & Research (RIPER), Andhra Pradesh on 27th October 2018.

4. National Conference on Dynamics of Innovations and Intellectual Property Rights

organized by Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (RIPER)

and Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Anantapur Branch, at Raghavendra

Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (RIPER), Andhra Pradesh on 19th

and 20th November 2018.

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Continuing Education Programme:

The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) Anantapur Branch head office at Raghavendra

Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (RIPER) Autonomous in association with

Rural Development Trust (RDT) Hospitals organized Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and

Antimicrobial Stewardship Program on January 2, 2019; where renowned Medical

microbiologist Dr Raghu Prakash Nayakanti and Pathologist Dr Hariharanadha Sharma were

speakers. The continuing education programme on AMR was organized for students,

professionals, researchers and practitioners of pharmacy.
