Airborne Weather RADAR
Data Patterns is pro-actively developing an Airborne Weather Radar
• This is very similar to radar used in ALH
• This Radar works on X band with 240 NM range
• Weather alert signals within 25 NM
• Configured around 10KW Magnetron.
• A Super heterodyne receiver with IF at 30MHz for reception of Radar target and beacon transponder signals is under development.
• The antenna scan controller with 12” flat plate array antenna is part of the development.
• The Signal processing and display includes LCD colour display with appropriate Man Machine Interface and Processor unit for handling Radar Data, drive controls and interfaces to the helicopter on-board systems.
• A technical consultancy agreement is in position with ISRAD in design and development of this Weather Radar
