LOVE
Sonnet 18- This poem is comparing someone with the seasons. Shakespeare feels that no matter how old she gets she will always be beautiful to him.
“but thy eternal summer shall not fade”.. “when in eternal lines to time thou grow’st”
Sonnet 54- The poet feels like he is an actor on a stage showing different types of emotions for one girl but she is immune to tragedy or happiness.
“yet she, beholding me with constant eye, delights not in my mirth nor rues my smart”… “what then can move her?... She is no woman, but a senseless stone.”
