A, Any person under the legal age topurchase alcoholic beveiages whoknowingly poEEesses or consunes anyalcoholic beverage in or on any schoolproperty, publie conveyance, public placeor place of public asseubly or on privateproperty shall be in violation of thisSection. Upon conviction, such underageperson shall be subject to a fine of T.woHundred Fi f ty (gzEO.OO) Dol lars for afirst offenEe and Tbree Hundred Fifty($oso,oo1 Dollars for any subsequent,offense; at the diecretion of the court,perfortr connunity service for a periodnot to exceed one hunctred eighty (1gO)days; at the discretion ot ine-court,have a New ,rersey driving privilegesuspended or postponed for six (6)nonths; andl if considered necessary bythe court, be referred to an afconolictreatment progran at the defendantrsexpense.
