Latest version of Jakarta Tomcat web container was

configured on Infonet server. This has features for bettermonitoring and management of JVM, container managedsecurity for single sign-on, session replication and clustering, shared thread pools, web services support and connectionpooling. Latest version of JDK has been configured on theserver for supporting AES encryption feature. Secure SocketsLayer (SSL) support is also installed and configured to serverequests over secure channel for applications related toDigital Certificates using https protocol.

RRCATInfonet is very popular portal for dissemination ofinformation among the employees using two access schemes open access and authenticated access. RRCATInfonet hasbeen revamped with new look and feel to provide single pointaccess to various web resources and Internet! Intranet services

like email, Information portals etc.

Program was developed to generate Pay and Allowancesreport by extracting online information from AllowanceProcessing Software and Integrated Accounting Software toavoid duplicate data entry as well as to ensure consistency andcorrectness of data. Reports for Quarterly income tax return,PF schedule and PF broadsheet were also developed. Pay BillRegister (PBR) module was re-designed, developed andimplemented for entry ofPBR related details.

'Due statement' was re-generated for arrear calculation ofemployees affected by re-fixation in certain grades andimplementation of Suri Committee recommendations.Consolidation of data from all arrear files was done to

C) Enhancements to Pay and Allowance ProcessingSystem:

B) Enhancements to OASIS - Project MonitoringSoftware:

The software was enhanced further by adding anothermodule as c-OASIS (consolidated On-line AccesS to projectInformation System) for monitoring procurement andexpenditure related to all XI Plan projects. c-OASIS can beaccessed on RRCATInfonet by Director, Regional Director(IRPSU), JCFA and members of Planning and CoordinationCell for viewing complete expenditure details of RRCAT.Budget monitoring information and payment details for XIPlan projects can either be viewed project-wise or for allprojects. They can also view project wise procurementcalendar, phasing of plan expenditure and BEl RE reports forM&SI M&EI MW.

Comprehensive training to all the users of Medical Centrewas provided and now the software is successfully running onOracle 109 platform.

Project Monitoring Software OASIS has been enhancedby integrating Major Works data with various budgetmonitoring reports like list of all indents, list of paymentsmade, procurement calendar and BEl RE reports. Work orderand other details of major works files can be viewed using thelink on file no. Additional report has been added to provide listof closed files. Drill down option has been developed inProject Expenditure report for viewing payment detailsrelated to M&S, M&E, MW, OE, Temporary Advance, TAetc.
