R-350 - VTOL Remotely Piloted Aerial System
Introduction to the System
Standard Operational System
of R-350 contains:
System Components
u 1 x Air Vehicles with sensor
u Full Avionics System
u 1 x Ground Control Station (GCS)
u 100 km Data Link
u Integrated Autopilot
u Flight Management Software
u Basic Training Package
u Full Operators and Maintenance Manuals
Flexible, Capable, Versatile and truly unique VTOLPlatform.
The R-350 sets the standard in VTOL UAS.
This ITAR-free Tactical Helicopter is unique in its class,
in that it has a jet-turbine engine propulsion system.
This means it uses heavy fuels ( ) and also Jet A1, JP54
has excellent performance in higher altitude regions
where conventional combustion engines struggle.
The design follows the modular theme of all UMS
SKELDAR products and the engine, for instance, can be
replaced within 30 minutes – a feat that is unmatched
by other VTOL systems.
Fitted with The VTOL Parachute Rescue System (VPRS),
the R-350 has a safety capability that can facilitate its
operation in areas where other RPAS are precluded from
flying. The R-350 is unique in having this capability.
Furthermore, being under 150 kg MTOW,
the R-350 requires only national certification,
adding to the ease of use and operation.
The R-350's GCS follows the same protocols of other
UMS SKELDAR products, which ensures flexible
and easy use. This system is at the cutting edge
of technology and supported by the experienced
and dedicated personnel of UMS SKELDAR. In the world
of VTOL RPAS, this is an unbeatable combination that
will make all the difference to your needs.
Optional:
u SAR, COMINT, EW and ESM
u Shelter based Ground Control Station (GCS)
u Operational Training
u Managed Services
Fully proven in the harsh Maritime Enviroment.
Heavy fuel & Maritime ready
Operational from shipsand offshore platforms using DeckFinder® Landing System
As a VTOL vehicle, the R-350 does not need a runway
and is able to operate from austere areas where other
systems cannot. It is capable of operating from ships
automatically where it utilises the DeckFinder®
Landing System. Its maritime capability can
completely transform the capability of a ship,
particularly one of smaller size, where the R-350's
small logistic footprint and flexible sensor suite
augments the ships surveillance capability.
Key Features
u ITAR free
u Heavy Fuel capability, supporting single fuel
concept
u ATOL capability
u VPRS safety feature
u Small footprint
u Modular design, easy to maintain
(engine swap within 30 minutes)
u Due to MTOW 150kg
only national certification rules apply
u Due to two payload areas, the R-350 can take
multiple payloads at the same time, i.e. EO/IR
camera together with LIDAR, or Chemical Sniffer.
u Advanced stabilised EO/IR Sensors
u Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
u Ground Moving Target Indicator Radar (GMTI)LIDAR
u Hyper-spectral and Multi-spectral cameras
u Communications Relay Systems
u Air Droppable SAR Pods
R-350 Payload Options
Survival Pod for Search and Rescue Missions.
