Quran scientific statement On iron as being sent to the earth

At the time of the prophet it was believed that iron was formed in the earth since it was found mixed with the earth stones . This was a dominant belief until recently. However, Quran tells us that God sent iron from heaven and this statement is now supported by our modern science.

It is thought that the earth was once a part of the sun and then separated , so scientists thought that iron was formed in the sun but this supposition proved to be wrong because the surface heat temperature of the sun is 6000 Celsius degrees while the temperature of the core ranges from 15 million to 16 millions Celsius and this degree , though high , is not enough to form an iron atom . The whole temperature of the solar system is not sufficient to produce elemental iron .

Where was iron created

Iron needs very high temperature.This high temperature can not be found anywhere except in stars which five times larger than the sun- scientifically known as massive stars.Life cycle of stars: In order to sustain its life a star needs to fuse hydrogen into other elements.When stars like our sun ends up its fuel it expands but in massive stars the nuclear reaction goes on till iron

core formed in the center of the star. Iron can’t be fused, so the star collapses forming a supernova. The outer shells of the stars which contain heavy elements bombard the nearby planets. This is exactly what happened to our earth while it was still a heap of ashes.

So according to modern astrophysics, iron was not formed in the earth. It was formed in old massive stars and then was caused to hit the earth.

The Holy Quran tells us that Iron was not formed in the earth.

God says in the Holy Quran what means

We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.(57:25)

So According to this verse:

God sent down the Holy Quran.God link between the Holy Quran as being sent down and so was iron. Please note though other heavy metals were sent down but Quran gives special mention to iron because it was the most common metal in the time of revelation .

The Holy Quran refers to many benefits of ironIn his book Nature’s Destiny, Michael Denton, a well-known microbiologist, says:

Of all the metals there is none more essential to life than iron. It is the accumulation of iron in the centre of a star which triggers a supernova explosion and the subsequent scattering of the vital atoms of life throughout the cosmos. It was the drawing by gravity of iron atoms to the centre of the primeval earth that generated the heat which caused the initial chemical differentiation of the earth, the outgassing of the early atmosphere, and ultimately the formation of the hydrosphere. It is molten iron in the center of the earth which, acting like a gigantic dynamo, generates the earth’s magnetic field, which in turn creates the Van Allen radiation belts that shield the earth’s surface from destructive high-energy-penetrating cosmic radiation and preserve the crucial ozone layer from cosmic ray destruction…

Without the iron atom, there would be no carbon-based life in the cosmos; no supernovae, no heating of the primitive earth, no atmosphere or hydrosphere. The Holy Quran refers to the Atomic Number of Iron

Surat al-Hadid 25, which refers to iron, contains two rather interesting mathematical codes. “Al- Hadid” is the 57th surah in the Qur’an. The abjad of the word “Al-Hadid” in Arabic, when the numerological values of its letters are added up, is also 57. The numerological value of the word “hadid” alone is 26. And 26 is the atomic number of iron.
