Quick Upgrade Firmware

Note: The below upgrade process is suitable under following environment

1. Connect LAN disk to PC LAN port directly; no router or IP switch

should be used

2. Update firmware under Window OS only 98/2000/XP/2003

3. Use “Quick upgrade tool” software to fast update firmware. This tool

will detect RDC lan disk solution in particular.

Step1：SET IP protocol(TCP/IP) as below



Step 2：

2-1. Execute “quick upgrade.exe”

2-2. Click “Scan” marked 1, detected land disk will have IP address+firmware

presented

2-3. Click the red circled area marked 2

2-4. Press “Browse” marked 3



2-5.Firnd the firmwareas attached in this zip file, marked 4

2-6. find the firmware, marked 5

2-7 Press “Open” marked 6

2-8. Click “Upgrade” marked 7



2-9.A small window pops up. Do not turn off power or it will cause firmware damage.



2-10. Widow pops a message widow indicating the success of firmware upgrade.

2-11. Apply IE to enter the administration page under http://169.254.0.1. Make sure

the firmware and loader is correct

2-12. From the main page, you do not see any difference in firmware changes since it

still shows “NAS-BASIC47 Loader69”

However, go to “Maintenance” page and find the red circled line as below. This only

shows in new firmware named V47 loader69
