I used photoshop to create my front cover. I used different tools such as the eraser, shape tool and the general toolbar to change font size and colour, I also used photoshop to edit some of my photographs.• Eraser – I used the eraser tool to erase certain parts

of my text to allow the effect that part of my image is above the title.

• Shape tool – I used this tool to create the rectangles for the banners and also the circles for the smaller dots separating text.

• General toolbar – I used this make the text smaller and larger as I have various sizes, I also changed the colour of the texts so that my magazine looked more appealing.

• Edit photographs – I edited photographs slightly so that the lightening and contrast on the images was better.

I used Quark Xpress to create my double page spread and contents page. I found it quite easy and simple to use and I think it is very useful to make any page that contains a lot of text.• Insert Text - I learnt how to insert text and how to put it

into the number of columns you want, such as I wanted my dps in 3 columns and I was about to do this easy.

• Drop Capital - I learnt how to insert a drop capital for the start of my article.

• Insert image – I learnt how to insert an image correctly so the image fit the space you wanted it to fit in.

• I also learnt how to put text around text so that I didn’t have to use separate text boxes.

I used a camera to take all the images for my magazine. I learnt that having a steady hand and having the camera in focus is key, otherwise the photographs end up being blurry or out of focus. I also learnt that angles and rule of thirds are important and can make a large difference to the picture once it has been taken.
