How did you use media technologies in the
construction of research planning and evaluation?
Photo shop
I used photo shop for both of my ancillary products and some of the text slides in my trailer. I had already had some experience with photo shop from AS however I wanted to improve on these
skills for my ancillary products I therefore watched you tube tutorials and asked friends who had more experience in it. Having done this I was able to remove an image from its background to put it on a plain white one and how to make an
image brighter. having learnt these skills I think I managed to create a professional and polished
ancillary products.
Final cut
Final cut was used for my trailer it enabled me to put together my clips in an order which revealed part of what my film was about in a conventional way. By learning how to use the different told such as the
blade tool to cut longer peaces of film. The colour corrector tool, to make a more
sombre atmosphere to the break up scene and a lighter brighter atmosphere to those which are seen as moor positive. As well as been able to layer number of pieces of audio and change levels to blend them in
more.

Celtex
Celtex was used to create the script for the trailer. This proved useful when planning out the scenes for the story bored and
which scenes could be filmed on the same day. It was also useful for my actors as they could have a look over the script
before filming and know there lines rather than making it up on the spot. Although I originally found using celtex challenging i quickly came to use it to create a script
that made my filming run more efficiently.
Social networking I used facebook in order
to get feedback on my final products, this
proved a great way of doing this because I
had very little time to get my audience feed back and my target
audience could message it me almost straight away. It also
meant that I could ask more people than I
would have been able to in person.
I phone 4s I Used my I phone to record
videos for my audience feedback this proved a really great way on collecting some of my audience research as I could easily summarise the reaction. This could then be
directly uploaded to you tube via the app and put on my
blog all from my phone. This was really efficient and easy as there is a microphone on the recorder . I also used my
phone to record the voiceover to my trailer. Had I realised it would have been this easy I would have used it fro my
audience research.
Youtube
You tube was obviously useful for analysing videos as I can easily
embed videos into my blog. This was fairly easy to do. I also have a
youtube app on my phone which made it simple to upload feed back
videos
WordleI hadn't used wordle
but before but I liked the idea of presenting my conventions in
image form it was really easy to use but really effective
and clear to see rather than looking
at a number of blog posts.
Nikon DSLR camera and 50 mm lens
I has used a DSLR camera before briefly to take
pictures for my as music magazine however this was the first time I had recorded using one this proved very challenging
changing the shutter speed and ISO however
once I had been give guidance I think I
managed really well. The 50 mm lens was also really effective and made it look really professional and conventional.
The effect of a 50mm lens
Slide Share I used slide share for the research, for presenting my conventions of magazines. planning, by inserting graphs i summarised the results of my audience feed back and evaluation stages of my project I found it a good way of presenting my information it was basic and easy to embed into my blog.
