We used Photoshop mainly for the construction part of our project. For example we used it to create our placards, and our magazine cover, as part of our ancillary products.

We also used it in the editing stage of our project; we had to create a new frame to cut out some people who got in our shot.

Through using Photoshop I learnt skills such as cutting pictures out and editing them

Premiere

We used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit our footage. We learnt many skills from this, such as how to change the colour to black and white and also how to use the ‘Colour Pass’ tool, so that we could turn our rose red whilst leaving the rest of the film in black and white.

Another skill we learnt through using Premiere Pro, was how to change the speed of our footage, so that it looked more authentic and old-film style.

We used Publisher to make the draft of both our magazine cover and poster.

By using Publisher, I learnt skills such as how to create the basic layout of a magazine cover. I how to put shapes, images and text together to make an effective front cover.

We used PowerPoint to create all of our slideshows. We used them in the research and evaluation stages.

YouTube

YouTube is a website we used mainly in the research stage of our project.

We researched videos that were similar to ours in genre i.e. scenes from Titanic. We also used it to research scenes from Schindler’s List, where the little girl in the red coat, so that we could show our evidence of research for using our red rose.
