How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation

stages.

Canon HD camera

• We used a Canon HD camera for filming our music video to ensure high resolution and create the best quality of image we could in our music video.

• I also used a Canon HD camera for photographing the band for my print adverts for the same reasons.

• The quality of image makes the final results much more aesthetically successful and creates a more professional image.

Sony Vegas Pro 11

We used Sony Vegas Pro 11 to edit our music video because it is a very technical and

professional piece of software and would allow us to create transitions and effects. However,

this meant that understanding the software was difficult to begin with but we soon worked out how to use it so that it fitted our needs well.

Adobe Photoshop

I used Adobe Photoshop when creating my print

products as it is the best software for editing

photographs and I am used to using the

software therefore I could achieve the best results. It has definitely worked well using this software.

Slideshare

I have used Slideshare throughout my work a lot to display the construction and

research, planning and evaluation. It has been a very useful website and allows me to upload my presentations,

which are a great way of displaying work, to Blogger.

YouTube

YouTube allowed us to upload the video onto the internet and I then embedded it into my

blog. It has been useful for this purpose.

Facebook

I have used Facebook for audience feedback for both the music video and my print adverts and have found it a very useful and efficient way of asking my target audience specifically for their feedback

on my products.

BloggerI have used Blogger throughout my work to document

construction and research, planning and evaluation stages and I have found it very useful. However, sometimes

placing images next to each other and uploading videos or other media forms has proven difficult which has wasted

time.

Ipod Touch

I have used my Ipod Touch to access my Facebook audience

feedback from college. It has been

very useful and helped me to be more

efficient and time effective.

Technology In My Work

I have found that technology has been extremely important throughout my work and I felt that we were limited by budget

and available technology when it came to shooting our music video. With more

advanced technology we could have made a more professional music video which

more dramatic effects. However, I think I fully utilised the technologies available and

made successful products with them.
