After a 2 year pause, Queensland Mass Spectrometry Symposium is back in 2021 for
face-to-face networking around the cutting edge research & applications of mass
spectrometry in Queensland. The two-day program will incorporate poster and
networking sessions as well as workshops, in sunny Gold Coast.
Host venue The Institute for Glycomics is based at the heart of Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus in Queensland and plays an integral role as part of the emerging Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. The Institute boasts state-of-the-art facilities combined with some of the world’s most outstanding researchers with a focus on 'Glycomics', a constantly expanding field that explores the structural and functional properties of carbohydrates (sugars). The Institute’s research primarily targets prevention and cures for cancers, infectious diseases and neurodegenerative disorders, with a focus on translational research which will inevitably have a positive impact on human health globally.
Programming
The symposium will showcase Queensland mass spectrometry expertise through oral and poster
presentations. Conversely, the symposium will bring the latest mass spectrometry technology and
workflow to the research community. There will be ample opportunities for networking during
refreshment breaks, poster session and the symposium mixer.
All Queensland researcher and users of mass spectrometry technology will be invited to participate
at the symposium, with topics including:
Proteomics, post-translational modifications
Metabolomics, lipidomics
Systems biology
Elemental analysis
Isotope ratio measurement
Instrumentation and ion chemistry
Clinical applications
Veterinary and agricultural applications
Food science
Toxicology, environmental and geoscience applications
Technology workshops

Terms & Conditions
1. All information contained in this sponsorship and exhibitor package is current at time of production- please check the event website or www.lsq.com.au for latest terms and conditions details.
2. All prices are in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of 10% GST.
3. LSQ reserves the right to make changes to any and all packages without prior notice.
4. Applications will be date and time stamped and will be processed strictly in order of receipt of applications.
5. Incorporation of corporate logo on relevant materials, including website, will only take place once payment has been made.
6. Supply of logos is to be of appropriate size and quality to allow reproduction is the sole responsibility of the sponsor - LSQ reserves the right to refuse to use any substandard logos.
7. LSQ reserves the right to refuse any sponsorship and/or advertising application at its sole discretion.
8. Cancellations must be received in writing four (4) weeks prior to the event. There will be no refunds after this time - substitutions allowed. Refunds will incur a processing fee of 3% for each application.
9. LSQ must adhere to all relevant Privacy Regulations in relation to the collection of personal data from delegates. The purpose for which the data is being collected must be clearly displayed, and the data only used for these purposes. Business cards collected for a prize draw should be used only for this purpose, unless delegates are clearly informed that the cards may be used for follow-up contact.
10. Events may be cancelled if registration levels are not met. In this instance, you will be notified by LSQ.
