OUR CALL TO STEWARDSHIP 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time

“And Jesus said to him, ‘Go your way; your faith has made you well.’ And immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.” MARK 10:52 Faith is believing in something even though you may not be able to see it. Many people think that miracles don’t happen anymore. But, if you focus on the positive, not the negative, focus on your blessings instead of your hardships, miracles will seem common and you will see God’s active presence in your daily life.

Please pray for our sick: Dale Symons, Joyce Von Rueden, Paul O’Brien, Jean Stopper, Bob Quinn, Kathy Mueller, Virginia Larson, Tom Corley, Rosalie May, Barbara Feiner, Jack White, Brad Crist, Valerie Gobrecht, Kim Busch, Liz Barth, Lydia Leahy, Jacob Kobylarczyk, Larry Glendenning, Ellen Boatman, Val Feiner, Ed Blaine, Carson Hartwig, and Tazuko Hardyman. If you know of someone seriously ill and needs community prayers, please inform Father Joji. When names need to be removed, please call the Parish Center at 776-4059.

Dear Friends, Today we celebrate Mission Sunday, the voice of salvation continues to call us to be more faithful to God’s mission both in us and in others. It reminds us of the great challenges before us in God’s mission. This includes, our chang-ing cultures, societies and lifestyle that must be urgently evangelized and redeemed.

Mission is service and sacrifice rendered in love for the salvation of all nations. This love comes with patience and docility to the will of God. It begins by transforming the missionary into a great instrument for the salvation of oth-ers. In today’s gospel, the blind Bartimaeus represents our collective human situation that is constantly yearning for

healing and liberation from all sorts of limitations. The blindness in questions might not necessarily be the physical loss of vision, but spiritual ignorance that limits our relationship with others, and with God. Hence let us respond on this Mission Sunday positively knowing the needs of our neighbors in different parts of the World.

Thank you to all who served in October as Mass Ministers, Servers, Lectors, Readers, Greeter/Gift Bearers, Eucharistic Ministers, Cantors, Musicians and Rosary Leaders. Thanks also to our Bulletin Stuffer, the Offertory Counters, those who serve on Councils, Commissions and Committees. We appreciate everyone who maintains and donates time to our rural churches and cemeteries. We are grateful to our October Holy Rosary Church Cleaners: Mary Wiegel, Dale Wiegel and Marian Kelly. Thanks to all! The month of November Holy Rosary cleaners are: Lori Crompton, Janet Sniff and Rita Wiegel.
