Throughout the day we have many opportunities to “see the face of Jesus” in others and to “be the face of Jesus” to others. Do we take that opportunity to provide “peace” to those we encounter or are we afraid of what others will think of us and do nothing? Pray for the strength to live a “God-centered” life and not a “self-centered” life.

Dear Friends,
One important point which all the readings of this Sunday have in common is the relationship between ignorance and faith. Today the church invites us to celebrate the living Christ, who is our advocate. Through his death and resurrection, he advocates for us. Ignorance and doubt keep us in fear and darkness, while Christ illuminates and strengthens our faith.
The major problem of the Jewish leaders who crucified Christ was ignorance. They thought they knew God and were advancing his course. On the contrary, they were actually working
against it. Hence, they remained stubborn. But let us turn to the Risen Christ to illuminate our minds that we may believe in him. Alleluia.

National Volunteer Week (April 15-22) is a time for organizations across the country to honor volunteers for their selfless contributions and recognize the irreplaceable impact of their time and energy all year round. As a parish, we could not function without our volunteers and would like to express our appreciation at the Family Mass on Sunday, April 22, at 10:30 a.m., followed by cake and coffee in your honor in the Church Hall. “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the in-heritance as your reward.
