THIS WEEK’S MASSES & EVENTS
OUR CALL TO STEWARDSHIP April 28, 2019 - 2nd Sunday of Easter “Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.’” (John 20:21) Peace – the first gift of the risen Lord. Just as Jesus sent the apostles out into the world, so too, He sends us. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to be grateful and generous. Look for opportunities to share His peace, not only within our local parish boundaries, but outside of them as well. In giving, we receive the peace of Jesus Christ.
Please pray for our sick: Joyce Von Rueden, Paul O’Brien, Jean Stopper, Kathy Mueller, Virginia Larson, Barbara Feiner, Jack White, Brad Crist, Valerie Gobrecht, Kim Busch, Liz Barth, Lydia Leahy, Jacob Kobylarczyk, Ellen Boatman, Val Feiner, Ed Blaine, Carson Hartwig, Darcy (McLinn) Williams and Pat Whalen. If you know of someone seriously ill and needs community prayers, please inform Father Joji. When names need to be removed, please call the Parish Center at 776-4059.

Dear Friends, We continue to worship the risen Christ who is now alive forever and ever, alleluia, alleluia. Christ is now present in our midst, bringing healing and Peace. Doubt and fear limit the greatest effort and power in the world. They make it difficult for one to believe the wonders that God has worked by resurrecting Christ. Therefore, we must expel the spirit of doubt and fear from our lives in order to experience the power of the resurrected Christ. Also, let us embrace the peace that Christ brings to us this Easter. However, before we can experience this power and be-come its witness like the apostles, first we must cast away all doubts and fears. Hence, our situation must shift from doubting to the manifestation of a living and active faith in the risen Christ.
I wish hearty congratulations to all our dear 1st Holy Communicants and their families. Let us continue to pray for these young children to be rooted in the values of the Gospel and witness to Jesus throughout their lives.
