Awnings PROTÉGER CHANNEL LOCKProtéger Channel Lock extends the Wire Guide Protéger system by introducing unique features. These features include a patent pending auto magnetic locking device, plus additional awning fabric stability measures are provided through side tensioning tracks, spool guide mechanisms, UV stabilised weather and bug strips, as well as unobtrusive side channel rails, making this a complete system.

Unique to Channel Lock:

Two piece channel Aluminium profiles clip into one another to simplify the installation and eliminate any visible fixing holes or the need for screw cap covers.

UV PVCExtruded side-tensioning tracks self position, providing great stability for the fabric during moderate to windy conditions whilst delivering a stylish streamlined finish. The side track design absorbs the shock caused by the fabric movement in windy conditions.

Awning take up spoolAccommodates the zipper, reducing the diameter on the top tube when rolled up.

Magnetic LockThe auto magnetic feature simply allows the awning to lock when wound down, and is concealed within the side channel extrusion.

ComfortUV stabilised weather seal strip easily slides into the bottom rail profile to prevent drafts when the awning is down. Bug strips can also slide into the two piece side channel, providing additional sealing.

• The aluminium extruded hooding cassette comes in two pieces for simplicity of installation. The cassette can be face fit or ceiling mounted and allows for removal of the roller tube without removing the system from the wall.

• The entire cassette can be fully assembled in the factory, saving valuable installation time.

• Colour coordinated hood ends are made from durable cast aluminium with an in built feature that eliminates the need for cut outs in the hooding profile, to accommodate the gearbox crank shaft.

• The hood end also provides access to the electric motor limits for adjusting the top and bottom limits.

• Once complete, the removable hood end cap covers enhance the overall appearance before fixing the front cassette cover into place.

PROTÉGER CASSETTE

PROTÉGER WIRE GUIDEProtéger Wire Guide is suitable for patio sun protection or as an external blind for windows. This system features the already proven, highly polished corrosion resistant fittings, including stainless steel bottom bush and brackets, plus 3.2mm stainless steel cables.

Self Align: The powder coated aluminium top bush allows for the cables to self align.

UV Stabilised: The high grade nylon UV stabilised bottom rail end caps allow effortless wire guide movement.

Operation: Can be manual, with 2 different gear ratios available, or motorised.

Durability: Cable is 316 Stainless Steel with a 1 x 19 construction for superior strength and clean finish.

Security: The extruded aluminium clear anodised bottom rail is available in 5.8m lengths and can be secured by straps or clips which integrate into the bottom rail.

Channel Lock and Wire Guide systems

Protéger is an exciting new external awning range by Uniline, available in either a Wire Guide system or Channel Lock system. Protéger’s modern compact design has been developed with specific emphasis on ease of installation, with maximum assembly in the factory by providing minimal on-site handling by installers. The unique patent pending Protéger features have been developed by Uniline’s in house R&D team in close consultation with both trade and retail customers across Australia and New Zealand.

The Protéger range incorporates a Wire Guide and Channel Lock version. Both options are available in either manual or motorised operation, allowing full compatibility with home automation systems.

The Protéger components are backed by the Uniline 5 year warranty and designed and manufactured for outstanding durability and reliability. The streamlined modern design of the Protéger cassette encloses the entire awning mechanism and is common to both Wire Guide and Channel Lock System.

Uniline now offers a Nice motor that is compatible with our unique channel locks. Simply set the bottom limits and the motor does the work for you. Just press down then the motor will lock and self tension. Press up and the motor automatically adjusts down past the lock and then raises the blind up.
