Three factors to help determine quality of calibration services are accreditation , traceability and certification . Quality Checklist for Calibration Services 1) Laboratory Accreditation Laboratories are accredited based on quality and competence. Accrediting bodies audit management, quality systems and technical competence and formally recognize compliance by issuing a certificate of accreditation. ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard used to accredit testing and calibration laboratories for measured quantities. 2) Traceable Calibration Traceability means the actual measurement from an instrument is related to the SI through a National Metrology Institute such as NIST. Accredited Laboratories are the Smart Choice All three factors can be required by regulatory authorities, when instruments are used as reference standards and to meet your company’s quality standards. 3) Calibration Certificate Calibration certificates are important for tracking the history and performance of an instrument. A certificate documents the instrument’s measurement reliability when it arrives in the laboratory as well as adjustments and final measurement data from the calibration process. It also includes uncertainty, reference equipment, laboratory conditions and traceability. Vaisala Accredited Calibration Services Our standard calibrations meet ISO9001 and are traceable to national or international standards. Each of our service centers offers accredited calibrations for selected parameters, issuing calibration certificates in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Choosing the right service to calibrate instruments can be as important for lifetime accuracy and reliability as the initial selection of the instrument. Three factors to help determine quality of calibration services are accreditation, traceability and certification.

Quality Checklistfor CalibrationServices

1) Laboratory AccreditationLaboratories are accredited based on quality and competence. Accrediting bodies audit management, quality systems and technical competence and formally recognize compliance by issuing a certificate of accreditation. ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard used to accredit testing and calibration laboratories for measured quantities.

2) Traceable CalibrationTraceability means the actual measurement from an instrument is related to the SI through a National Metrology Institute such as NIST.

Accredited Laboratories are the Smart ChoiceAll three factors can be required by regulatory authorities, when instruments are used as reference standards and to meet your company’s quality standards.

3) Calibration Certificate

Calibration certificates are important for tracking the history and performance of an instrument. A certificate documents the instrument’s measurement reliability when it arrives in the laboratory as well as adjustments and final measurement data from the calibration process. It also includes uncertainty, reference equipment, laboratory conditions and traceability.
