St. Michael News

Reception Today There will be a “Meet and Greet” reception today following mass to welcome Father Stephen Donahue, our newly appointed pastor of St. Michael Church. The reception will be held in Fr. Marendt Hall. Every-one is welcome.

“Let us ask ourselves: is our faith fertile? Does it produce good works? Or is it rather sterile, and so

more dead than alive? Do I make neighbors, or do I just pass by? These questions would be good to

ask ourselves often, since in the end - we will be judged on the works of mercy. It is through good

works, done with love and joy toward our neighbor, which makes our faith sprout and bear fruit.”

— Pope Francis

IMPACT YOUTH

A note from Fr. Steve Donahue If I am around (and mostly I am around or close by) I am available for the Sac-rament of Reconciliation/Confession/Penance most any time. I have said this before (kind of jesting, kind of not jesting) if you need an emergency confession at 3:00 in the morning you can call me and we can set it up. (So far no one has called at that time, but if you do, I will be there). I am in my office at the Catho-lic Ministry Center pretty much every day in the morning and into the after-noon…but, I can always come back if I am needed. If we are to meet in the of-fice, confessions will be face to face. I work better when you call me and say…”can I come for confession in X minutes”.

If you call me on my phone 812-592-2317 (and I hear it ring) I will answer…If I don’t hear it ring or I answer too late…(PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE AND YOUR PHONE NUMBER) and I will call you back as soon as I can.

If I am driving or don’t have a pen…OR…if I am not driving and I do have a pen…it doesn’t matter…you can email me at [email protected]. Mostly I answer emails…but, if I don’t for some reason, please try again.

God Bless

Fr. Steve Donahue
