• QPST is a set of tools designed to interface with, control, and test CDMA phones that contain Qualcomm ASICs.
• The QPST server can keep track of multiple phones on local host machines • The QPST tool consists of the server application ( no interface ) and 5 client
applications• The QPST tool set contains
– QPST Configuration– Service Programming – Software Download – RF NV Item Manager – EFS Explorer
• QPST stand alone entities– QCNView – Roaming List Editor
• QPST Configuration – Provides basic phone status display (MIN, ESN, model) – Allows phone control and monitoring
• Service Programming– Saves service programming data to file – Allows the download of the same service programming file to
multiple phones – Allows dialing plan, carrier information, and roaming list

– Downloads software to phones– Backs up and restores NV memory contents between downloads
• RF NV item Manager ( Not used in SV )• EFS Explorer
– Allows navigation of the embedded file system (EFS) of phones that support it ( eHRPD mobiles )

Roaming List Editor
•The Roaming List Editor is a standalone utility that displays a phone’s roaming protocol information•Edit an existing roaming list file, create a new roaming list, or print the contents of a roaming list.
An acquisition record contains parameters that the mobile station can use to acquire a system
A system record contains parameters that the mobile station can use for identifying an acquired system, for determining whether an acquired system is the optimal system on which to operate, and for determining the mobile station’s roaming status
