Pseudo Wire Emulation (PWE)

▌It is called PWE3 (Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge to Edge) accurately

▌Circuit Emulation technology PWE are techniques to emulate TDM/ATM service over packet network.

• TDM/ATM traffic is encapsulated and transmitted to the packet network.

PWE enables transport of non-IP based services over IP network, resulting in cost reduction and network consolidation.

Enables continual provision of legacy services over IP network.

▌Adaptive Clock Recovery (ACR), IEEE1588, Synchronous Ethernet, etc. are used to synchronize in the Packet network.
