ThePremium Pulse Oximeter measures user blood oxygen saturation(SpO2) and pulse rate information for sports and aviationactivities in a small, portable, easy-to-use device.

The Premium Pulse Ox Fit worksby shining two light beams intothe small vessels or capillariesof the finger to determine theuser’s the blood oxygensaturation percentage andpulse rate that is then displayedon the Premium Pulse Ox Fit’s screen. The unit uses the phrase“SpO2” to identify the oxygen saturation level and displays it as apercentage of full capacity (100%). Pulse rate is identified by thephrase “PR bpm” and is displayed as beats per minute.

USING YOUR DEVICE—MEASUREMENT

The Premium Pulse Oximeter may be used while the user isseated, standing or lying down. The user should not be walkingor running during measurements and should take care not toexcessively move the arm or hand where the oximeter isattached.

pRIOR TO USE

Keeping the sensors clean will help ensure accurate readings.Before and after each use, carefully swab inside the unit with asoft cloth or cotton swab with rubbing alcohol. Do not pour thealcohol directly on or in the unit.

Dirty hands or nail polish (especially dark shades) can also affectreading accuracy. Washing your hands and/or removing any nailpolish prior to use to help ensure accurate readings.

The premium pulse Ox fit features the capability ofreal-time pC monitoring and the ability to download arecorded monitoring session. The included softwareinstruction guide provides instruction for utilizingthese features.

Suitable for use onany finger (excludingthe thumb). In ourexperience, theindex or middlefinger work best.

1. Squeeze the hinged endof the unit to open themeasurement side of theunit.

2. Insert your finger nailside up into the unit untilresistance is felt. The unitshould gently closebelow the first knuckle ofthe finger, and thesensors inside the unitshould align with thefinger nail and pad at thetip of the finger.

USING YOUR DEVICE—MEASUREMENT3. Press the power button to turn the unit on. The screen will

briefly flash a test display, and then begin the measurement.

4. Solid dashes (– – –) will appear on the display for a fewseconds, then the display will begin to show the oxygensaturation (SpO2) and pulse rate (PR bpm) measurements.

Take care to not move excessively during monitoring. Theseare active readings and may fluctuate slightly as you observethe display, responding to your heart rate (bpm) and otherfactors.

5. The Pulse Ox Fit should only be used for spot-checking bloodoxygen saturation and pulse rate and should not remain onthe finger for more than a few minutes at a time.

6. Remove the unit from the finger. The unit will automaticallyturn off after 5 seconds.

7. Clean the unit as directed before storage.

The Premium Pulse Oximeter features several alarm functions—when the finger is out of position, when the measurement datais outside of the set limits and when the unit has low voltage(low battery). Alarms are set through the device menu.

NOTE: When navigating through all features in the following set-tings, pressing and HOLDING the POWER button willenter/change the selected setting; pressing and RELEASING thePOWER button will toggle through the available options.

1. Press and hold the POWER button,the display will show the ‘Settings’menu, Fig 1. To toggle within the‘Settings’ menu, press and releasethe POWER button until the Alarmsetting is selected.

2. Press and hold the POWER button toenter the Alarm settings menu; thetop choice will be Dir, Fig 2.

Dir — Direction; allows user to setmaximum and minimum settings forSpO2 and Pulse Rate wherein thealarm will sound if the results of theongoing measurement fall above orbelow the set parameters.

Psound — Pulse Sound/Tone; only set as ON or OFF, whenON the oximeter will sound a tone with every heartbeat as itreads the user’s pulse. i.e. beep-beep-beep-beep.

Alarm — Indicates whether thealarm function is ON or OFF; allfunctions–Finger Out, ReadingThresholds, and Low Battery–are ONwhen this setting is selected as ON,Fig 3.

3. Toggle the triangle cursor to Dir, press and hold to enter thereading thresholds options.

4. Press and hold the POWER button to enter the SPO2 setting.Within this setting you may select a High and Low point forthe SPO2 measurement.

Dir down, numbers will go down as you set the digits; Dirup, numbers will go up as you set the digits. Press and holdthe power button to select the desired setting. Press andrelease the power button to address each option–High, Low.Toggle to Exit, then press and hold to exit the SPO2 menu.

5. Repeat the same steps to set the desired alarm threshold forthe Pulse Rate (PR) measurement.

When the ALARM function is ON, the unit will beepcontinuously if the measurements are out of thespecified range.

USING YOUR DEVICE—RECORDING

The Premium Pulse Oximeter allows for one recording session ofup to 24 hours. This recording session can be viewed and savedwith the included Pulse Oximeter Tracking Software.

1. Press and hold the POWER button,the display will show the ‘Settings’menu, Fig 1. To toggle within the‘Settings’ menu, press and releasethe POWER button until theRecord setting is selected, Fig 1.

2. Press and hold the POWER buttonto toggle between OFF and ON,Fig 2; selecting ON willimmediately start themeasurement recording.

3. When the device is recording, asmall circle will appear in theupper corner of the display screen, Fig 3.

4. When recording continuously for an extended periodwithout touching the POWER button or removing the fingerfrom the device, the unit will go into ‘sleep’ mode, and onlythe small circle will blink on the display.

5. To turn off the Record option, enter the Settings and set theRecord function to off.

NOTE: This device will only record a single measurementsession; the next recording session will override the previoussession.

QUICK-RELEASE LANYARD

The lanyard features a quick-release clip for easy release while inuse.

ChOKINg hAZARd-The included lanyard may present anentanglement or choking hazard to small children. Adultsupervision required; never leave children unattended with unitor lanyard.

Before and after each use,carefully swab inside the unitwith a soft cloth or cotton swabwith rubbing alcohol. Do not pourthe alcohol directly on or into theunit.

The unit should be stored in a dryenvironment, within the idealtemperature range of -40°F–140°F(-40°C–60°C).

BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENTThis unit comes complete with 2 AAA batteries.

It is necessary to replace the batteries when the Low Batterysymbol appears on the display or when the display does not turnon after the red power button is pressed.

1. Slide off the battery cover.

2. Insert or replace 2 AAA batteries into the batterycompartment, ensuring to match the indicated polaritysymbols. Always use new batteries.

3. Replace the battery cover.

4. It is recommended to remove the batteries if the unit will notbe used for an extended period of time.

Please dispose of expired batteries according to local recyclingregulations.

YourPulse Ox Fit Premium Pulse Oximeter. is covered by the following limited warranty commencing uponthe date of purchase for a period of two years, and subject to the following terms and conditions:

Veridian Healthcare warrants that its Pulse Ox Fit Premium Pulse Oximeter will be free from defects inmaterials and workmanship under normal consumer usage for as long as the original purchaser ownsthe product.

Periodic maintenance, repair and replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear are excluded fromcoverage. Defects or damage that result from: (a) improper operation, storage, misuse or abuse,accident or neglect, such as physical damage (cracks, scratches, etc.) to the surface of the productresulting from misuse; (b) contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity or heavy perspiration,sand, dirt or the like, extreme heat, or food; (c) use of the Pulse Ox Fit Premium Pulse Oximeter forcommercial purposes or subjecting the Pulse Ox Fit Premium Pulse Oximeter to abnormal usage orconditions; or (d) other acts which are not the fault of Veridian, are excluded from coverage. Thiswarranty does not cover batteries or other power sources that may be provided with, or used with thePulse Ox Fit Premium Pulse Oximeter.

If the Pulse Ox Fit Premium Pulse Oximeter fails to conform to this limited warranty, return the Pulse OxFit Premium Pulse Oximeter postage prepaid along with $5.00 for return shipping, handling andinsurance to: Veridian Healthcare, Attn: Repair Department, 1175 Lakeside Drive, Gurnee, IL, 60031.When returning a product, please also include: (i) a copy of your receipt, bill of sale or other comparableproof of purchase; (ii) a written description of the problem; and (iii) your name, address and telephonenumber. El Pulse Ox Fit puede utilizarse mientras el usuario está sentado,de pie o recostado. El usuario no debe caminar o correr durantelas mediciones y deberá cuidarse de no mover excesivamente elbrazo o la mano donde está sujeto el aparato.

ANTES dE USAR

Mantener limpios los sensores le ayudará a asegurar lecturasprecisas. Antes y después de cada uso, limpie cuidadosamente elinterior de la unidad con un paño suave o hisopo de algodónembebido en alcohol para frotar. No vierta el alcoholdirectamente sobre la unidad o dentro de ella.

Las manos sucias o el esmalte de uñas (sobre todo los tonososcuros) también pueden afectar la precisión de la lectura.Lavarse las manos y/o retirar cualquier esmalte de uñas antes desu uso le ayudará a obtener lecturas precisas.

El premium pulse Ox fit posee la capacidad demonitoreo por computadora en tiempo real y lahabilidad de descargar una sesión registrada demonitoreo. Las instrucciones para el software que seincluyen proporcionan instrucciones para utilizarestas características.

USO dE SU pULSE Ox fIT

1. Apriete el extremoarticulado de la unidadpara abrir la parte demedición del oxímetro.

2. Inserte la uña del dedohacia arriba en la unidadhasta sentir resistencia.La unidad debe cerrarsesuavemente por debajodel primer nudillo deldedo y los sensoresdentro de la unidaddeben alinearse con lauña del dedo y laalmohadilla del dedo.

pantalla parpadeará brevemente como prueba y despuéscomenzará la medición.

4. Aparecerán guiones sólidos (– – –) en la pantalla duranteunos cuantos segundos, entonces la pantalla comenzará amostrar las mediciones de SpO2 (saturación de oxígeno) y laspulsaciones por minuto (PR bpm).

Cuídese de no moverse excesivamente durante el monitoreo.Estas son lecturas activas y pueden fluctuar ligeramentemientras usted observa la pantalla, respondiendo a sufrecuencia cardíaca y otros factores.

5. El Pulse Ox Fit sólo debe utilizarse para la verificación de lasaturación de oxígeno en la sangre in situ y la frecuencia delpulso y no debe permanecer en el dedo durante más de unosminutos a la vez.

6. Retire la unidad del dedo. La unidad se apagaráautomáticamente después de 5 segundos.

7. Limpie la unidad de acuerdo con las instrucciones antes deguardarla.

El oxímetro Premium Pulse presenta varias funciones de alarma -cuando el dedo cambia de posición, cuando los datos demedición están fuera de los límites establecidos y cuando launidad tiene bajo voltaje (batería baja). Las alarmas seestablecen por medio del menú del dispositivo.

NOTA: Cuando se exploran todas las características en las sigu-ientes opciones, MANTENER PRESIONADO el botón POWER ini-ciará/cambiará la configuración seleccionada, presionar ySOLTAR el botón POWER alternará las opciones disponibles.

Dir — Dirección; permite al usuario establecer lasconfiguraciones máximas y mínimas para el SpO2 y Ritmocardiaco en los cuales la alarma sonará si los resultados de lamedición en transcurso caen arriba o abajo de losparámetros establecidos.

Psound — Sonido/tono de pulso; sólo se enciende (ON) y seapaga (OFF), cuando está encendido, el oxímetro emitirá eltono de cada latido según el pulso del usuario, por ej., bip-bip-bip-bip.

Alarm — Indica si la función dealarma está encendida o apagada;todas las funciones –Dedo fuera deposición, Umbrales de lectura yBatería baja– están encendidascuando esta configuración estáseleccionada como ON, Fig. 3.

3. Cambie el cursor de triángulo a Dir, mantenga presionadopara acceder a las opciones de los umbrales de lectura.

5. Repita los mismos pasos para establecer el umbral de alarmadeseado para la medición del ritmo cardiaco (PR).

Cuando la función ALARM esté ON (encendida), launidad emitirá un sonido continuamente si la mediciónestá fuera del rango especificado.

El oxímetro Premium Pulse permite que se grabe una sesión dehasta 24 horas. Esta sesión de grabación puede verse yguardarse en el Pulse Oximeter Tracking Software (software degrabación) incluido.

1. Mantenga presionado el botónPOWER; el visor mostrará el menú“Configuración”, Fig. 1. Paraalternar entre las opciones delmenú “Configuración”, presione ysuelte el botón POWER hastaseleccionar la configuraciónRegistro, Fig. 1.

4. Al grabar continuamente por un periodo extenso sin tocar elbotón POWER o sacar el dedo del dispositivo, la unidad sepondrá en modo de ahorro de energía “sleep” y sólo el círculopequeño parpadeará en el monitor.

5. Para apagar la opción Registro, acceda a Configuraciones ydesactive la función Registro.

NOTA: Este dispositivo sólo grabará una sola sesión demedición; la siguiente sesión de grabación anulará la sesiónanterior.

CORDÓN DE LIBERACIÓN RÁPIDA

El cordón cuenta con un broche de liberación rápida parasoltarse con facilidad mientras se usa.

RIESgO dE ASfIxIA -Los niños pequeños pueden enredarse oasfixiarse con el cordón que se incluye. Se requiere desupervisión adulta; nunca pierda de vista a los niños cerca de launidad o del cordón.

Antes y después de cada uso,limpie la unidad con cuidado conun paño suave o hisopo dealgodón con alcohol para frotar.No vierta el alcohol directamentesobre o dentro de la unidad.

El oxímetro debe almacenarse enun ambiente seco, dentro delrango de temperatura ideal de -40°F–140°F(-40°C–60°C).

INSTALACIÓN Y CAMBIO DE LABATERÍAEsta unidad viene completa con 2 baterías tipo AAA.

Será necesario cambiar las baterías cuando se presente elsímbolo de Batería en el visor, o cuando no se encienda el visordespués de haber pulsado el botón roja de encendido (POWER).

2. Inserte o cambie 2 baterías tipo AAA en el compartimento debaterías; asegúrese de que coincidan los símbolos depolaridad indicados. Use siempre baterías nuevas.

3. Vuelva a colocar la tapa.

4. Se recomienda quitar las baterías si la unidad no se va a usarpor un período de tiempo prolongado.

Deshágase adecuadamente de las baterías vencidas, siguiendolas normas locales sobre reciclaje.
