TENNIS DAY AND MUSICA VIVALast Tuesday our students travelled to Boree Creek for the Greater Kengal Tennis Day and Musica Viva concert. All students had a great time and particularly enjoyed the concert. Congratulations to Nikita Clancy who was the winner of the tennis with her partner from Boree Creek. A mighty effort!
SCHOOL PHOTOSOur school photos were taken today with all children present and looking great! We look forward to seeing the finished product and will let you know as soon as they arrive.
SWIMMING LESSONSOur annual swimming lessons will commence on Monday 28th November and finish on Friday 9th December. All lessons will be at the recently upgraded Henty Swimming Pool, with travel by bus. A permission note with more details will be sent home next week.
REMEMBRANCE DAYWe observed Remembrance Day here at school with a minutes silence. It was wonderful to see the students treat the occasion with such respect.
INFANTS EXCURSIONOur Infants children recently travelled to Junee to visit the Liquorice and Chocolate Factory and the Roundhouse Museum. A great time was had by all, with the students given the opportunity to make their own chocolate freckle!
PRIMARY EXCURSIONOur Primary students recently travelled to Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Camp for a three day excursion. They participated in activities such as archery, slider bikes, campfire cooking, rock climbing and the flying-fox. Many students commented that this was the best excursion that they had been on, and are eagerly awaiting their next major excursion in 2017.
CSU STUDENTWe currently have Miss Mikala Shilo working with us while she completes her practicum as part of her teaching studies. Miss Shilo is a second year student who is completing the Bachelor of Education (K-12) course at CSU, Wagga. The students are thoroughly enjoying Miss Shilo being here while she gains valuable experience in the classroom. Miss Shilo is pictured below before taking the students for sport today.
END OF YEAR TRIPWe are planning an end of year excursion to Wagga on Thursday 15th December. Details have not been confirmed as yet, but the students are very keen to visit Flip-out! Details will be sent home in the coming weeks.
PRESENTATION NIGHTOur annual Presentation Night will be held on Wednesday 14th December at the Pleasant Hills Community Hall. Further details will be announced as the date draws closer.
