Have students think to themselves how the bodies are different based on the stages of life. 1. Baby is head and top heavy, with equal length of torso/ legs. 2. Teenagers are all at various stages of development even though only a couple years apart. 3. Adults have all gone through the maturation process. 2. These body changes occur due to the body preparing itself for adulthood and producing offspring. Puberty is the development from a child’s body to an adults. Activity : 3. It is important to state that all bodies mature at different ages and in different steps. Girls start to mature from ages 9-12 while boys begin puberty between ages 10-14 on average. 4. Each group will get a sheet to cut out the squares. 5. They must determine if the change on the card is for males, females or both. Students can form columns on their desks. 6. To give hints throughout the activity, call out a physical change one at a time every minute or so, asking groups which column it should go into. 7. Review all the answers for each column when finished. 8. Assess at the end.

Materials needed- picture of a development stages, a set of cards for each partner/ group, writing utensil and paper

Intro:1. Show a picture of a family. Have students think to themselves how the bodies are
