PSY 225 (Professor Gernsbacher): How to Use Google Image Search to Find Non-Copyrighted Images
Go to Google. Type in a search word, such as goldendoodles. Click on the Images tab.
Then click on the Tools tab.
Then pull down the Usage rights menu.
Pull the Usage rights menu down to either Labeled for non-commercial reuse OR Labeled for non-commercial reuse with modification (if you plan to make any modifications to the image).
Now all the images that appear on the Google search results will be filtered for non-commercial reuse OR for non-commercial reuse with modification (if you that’s the menu you selected).
However, to ensure that the image you want is available for non-commercial reuse AND to get the information you will need to provide an image credit, click on the image (from the search results)
