2019 / 2020 Provincial QualifiersI had a bye into Provincials. What will happen now?v Anyone who had a bye into Provincials 2020 will keep their bye and be automatically entered into Provincials 2021.

I placed within the top 40% of my Zone during the 2019/2020 season. Do I have to replay Zones this year to qualify?v Since you qualified in the previous year, you will automatically be entered into Provincials 2021 and are not eligible to play Zones during the 2020/2021 season.

I qualified during the 2019/2020 season but declined my spot as I could not attend Provincials 2020. An alternate was advanced in my place. v Since you declined your spot, your alternate will automatically be entered into Provincials 2021. You will need to re-qualify through Zones 2020/20201.

2019 / 2020 Provincial QualifiersI qualified for Provincials 2020. However, I can not attend Provincials 2021. What will happen?v Darts Ontario will refund your pre-registration fee for Provincials 2020.v An alternate will not be selected in your place.

I qualified for a free night paid this past season. What happens to that?v Anyone that earned a free paid night during the 2019/2020 season will still be awarded that night for Provincials 2021.

2020 / 2021 MembershipDo I have to purchase a membership this year even though I purchased one last year and was not able to play Provincials or Nationals?v Yes. Memberships are required by both the NDFC and Darts Ontario each new season.

Will refunds be issued for my membership for 2019/2020?v No. Memberships are required to play any zone event throughout the year. All 4 zone shoots were completed along with the majority of the dart season.

I qualified during the 2019/2020 so will not be playing zones this year. When do I have to purchase my membership by and how do I do so?v It is recommended to go to the first Zone Shoot for your area and purchase your membership. If this is not possible, please contact your Zone Director to make this purchase. This must be done before December 1, 2020.

2020 / 2021 Zone ShootsZones will be “modified” during the 2020/2021 season. What does this mean?v Since we are already carrying forward all of the results from the 2019/2020 season, we will not be taking the usual 40% of qualifiers through to Provincials 2021. Instead, we will be taking a smaller ratio.v Those that did play zones last year, but did not qualify, will be eligible to pay a reduced fee of $5 per person per event. Those that did not play zones last year will be required to pay the standard fee of $10 per person per event.v The ratio of players advancing to Provincials 2021 will be as follows:

1 – 15 players would allow for 1 additional Provincial Qualifier.16-30 players would allow for 2 additional Provincial Qualifiers.31 or more players would allow for 3 additional Provincial Qualifiers.

v Anyone that did qualify during the previous season is not eligible to play zones this year.

2020 / 2021 Zone ShootsWho is eligible to play Zones during the 2020/2021 season?v Anyone who did not qualify for Provincials 2020 is eligible to play Zones during the 2020/2021 season. This includes any new or returning players to the organization who did not play last year.

I am eligible to play Zones during the 2020/2021 season. If I choose to play during this season,and qualify for Provincials 2021, what happens if I learn that I cannot attend?v You will be refunded your pre-registration fee for the Provincial event. v An alternate from the 2020/2021 season will be advanced in your place.

Will there be additional free paid nights in one of our hotels available?v No additional free paid nights are available for this season. All paid nights for Provincials 2021 will be awarded to those that earned them during the 2019/2020 season.

What if…What if we are still not able to have large gatherings by the First Zone Shoot in November?v This may be a possibility. With the smaller numbers attending the Modified Zone Shoots during 2020/2021, we are hoping that we can still host all 4 shoots.v If this is the situation, we may need to look at the number of Zone shoots this season.
