Dear Friends, Family Members and Supporters:
It's hard to believe we have just two months remaining
until graduation. And we have BIG NEWS to share with
you: We are happy to announce that once again,
100% of our graduating seniors have been
admitted to college. This is a tradition that started with the first
graduating class of Providence Cristo Rey and continues,
demonstrating the academic success of our students and
the commitment to educational excellence by our faculty.
College Decision Day is May 1 and we feel confident that
the class of 2016 will represent Providence Cristo Rey
proudly beyond high school.
Much of that success can be attributed to our solid

dance attended by her son,Xavier, a sophomore.
Zakiya Lumumbachaperoned our Sweetheart
dance attended by herdaughter Zaya, a
sophomore. "What I likebest about Providence
Cristo Rey is theparent/teacher
communication. Theteachers go above andbeyond in creating an
atmosphere where we allwork together as a
partnership to ensure thatmy daughter succeeds,"
said Lumumba.

Corporate Work Study Student
counseling team:
Maryellen McGinnis has been at PCRHS since the school
opened in 2007. She has a BA in Sociology from Mount St.
Joseph University and an MS in School Counseling from
Butler University.
Kenyetta Neal joined the guidance counseling department
in 2014. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Social
Sciences from Governors State University and her Masters
in Human Services from Capella University.
New to Providence Cristo Rey is Julie Quigley, a social
worker with Franciscan Alliance Inc. our new behavioral
health partner. She holds an MS in school counseling and
will be eligible for her mental health counseling license in
August.
PRCHS guidance team includes Julie Quigley, MaryEllen
McGinnis and Kenyetta Neal
Together, this team of experts, along with our teachers and
staff, are dedicated to preparing our students for college
and careers.

Thanks to the generosity of Ivy Tech Community College and Eli Lillyand Company, our biennial Corporate Work Study (CWS) Breakfast wasmet with great success. One hundred twenty executives representing 65 ofour current corporate partners, along with special guests representing 20prospective partners attended this year's event at Ivy Tech CommunityCollege. Speaking on behalf of corporate partner Eli Lilly, Mark Ferrara,Vice President of Talent Management, said: "It is well worth your time
and well worth your effort to be a partner with Providence Cristo Rey. Weare strong advocates." Dr. Kathleen Lee, Chancellor, Ivy Tech told gueststhat in addition to the institution's Corporate Work Study Partnership, IvyTech offers five dual credit classes to Providence Cristo Rey students.
Those include Senior and Junior English, Spanish, PreCal andTechnology.

Fred Glass, Vice President & Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, IndianaUniversity offered the keynote address. Indiana University, a corporatepartner with Providence Cristo Rey; also offers dual credit classes to
Providence Cristo Rey students. "We're trying to impact lives and change the world," said Glass. "Talk
about breaking the cycle of poverty . . .I can't think of another program as

We are saddened by the loss of longtime bus driver Fred Rhea who died in hishome March 9. Fred had three loves his faith, our students, and politics. He
never missed a day of work or an opportunity to share stories with our students."You can never underestimate the impact someone can have on our students . . .event something as simple as driving a bus," said one employee. "He touched
the lives of everyone he met."
