BACHELOR’S PROGRAMMESSTUDY ABROAD • WORK PLACEMENT

Undergraduate Programmes All our bachelor’s programmes are 3-year full-time courses of modular studies leading

to Bachelor of Science degree conferred by The University of Buckingham. They start

with a common fi rst year that will allow you to make a decision with regard to your fi nal

specialisation choice as late as the end of the fi rst year. In the sixth semester you will have to

choose between doing a study-abroad or an internship. IBS offers a 50% Starter Scholarship

for newcomers.

ERASMUS ExchangeComing to IBS will open up opportunities for you to study abroad, without adding to the

length of your studies. ERASMUS is the mobility programme of the EU for university students,

teachers and staff. One semester abroad is available for all IBS students during their studies.

We are happy to welcome over 100 students a year who come from our 68 ERASMUS partner

universities.

Work PlacementOptional work placement in the sixth semester of your studies is an excellent opportunity

for testing your strengths, showing your abilities and more often than not, fi nding your

workplace. In recent years, close to 40 per cent of our students have found a job upon

graduation at their placement

MASTER’S PROGRAMMESDISTANCE LEARNING • AFFORDABLE

IBS’s new distance learning master programmes offered with the University of the West of

Scotland — one of Scotland’s most innovative modern universities — are two-year, part- time

programmes.

Our distance learning programmes enable you to follow your own schedule assisted by

excellent interactive content. We invite our students to Budapest, Hungary for the start of each

semester to complement their studies with workshops and seminars instructed by industry

experts and executives, and to engage in exciting industry visits to some of the leading

international and European companies.

MSc in Tourism Development and Management Our Msc in Tourism Development and Management combines classic and contemporary theory

with the most up-do-date and innovative real-life case studies in the rapidly diversifying fi eld

of tourism and destination management. Our programme will help you identify avenues of

innovation and apply state-of-the-art solutions in the sustainable management of destinations

and attractions. You will study specialised modules about the tourism development side

(Destination Planning and Development, Visitor Attractions Management, Management and

Marketing in the Aviation Industry and Sustainable Tourism Management modules).

MSc in Startup EntrepreneurshipOur MSc in Startup Entrepreneurship is a real „niche programme” providing you with all the

essential knowledge of seed-stage or early stage enterprises and prepare you for the challenges

in management, product development, marketing and fi nances. This unique programme was

designed with a single aim: to develop key competences that are crucial for entrepreneurial

success in the innovation-driven

NON-DEGREE PROGRAMMESUNIVERSITY FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

University Foundation Programme (UF)IBS offers a one-year Intensive English Language Programme with 600 hours of English

including Business English. At the end of the programme students who work hard and achieve

good results throughout the year may take the LCCI Intermediate Language Exam free of

charge at the school. Students will also have in-depth knowledge and practice in the following

language areas:

Summer School

This course contains 100 English language classes

over four weeks in the summer. It aims to develop

and practise general and business English at

intermediate level. There are extracurricular activities

like visits to museums, team-building activities and

sightseeing in Budapest. This is a great chance to get

to know Budapest and make new friends.

A state-of-the-art campus

Consisting of three beautifully restored architectural

heritage buildings, our main campus in Budapest is

located in a business park directly by the Danube and

is an ideal venue for education. The Park hosts over 60

leading international and Hungarian companies, including

Microsoft, SAP, Canon or Graphisoft, providing a vibrant

business environment for our school.

On-Campus Residence Hall

The on-campus residence hall offers comfortable

accommodation for 90 students in well-equipped single

or shared en suite rooms with high-speed internet access.

There is a laundry and communal kitchens available for

our students. You can apply for a room on our online

application form. Rooms will be secured in the order of

payments.

Budapest

The city is famous for its nightlife among students. There

are hundreds of amazing venues, bars, cafés open around

the clock. The historical downtown area offers plenty

of ideas for a fun night out, ranging from some of the

trendiest dining options and galleries to the hottest pop/

rock/electro events. The beautiful historic setting, spas

and theatres mixed with a youthful vibe give you a truly

unforgettable study abroad experience.

Vienna

Vienna, also described as Europe’s cultural capital, is a

metropolis with unique charm, vibrancy and fl air. It boasts

of its outstanding infrastructure, it is clean and safe, and

it has all the inspiration that you could wish for in order to

discover this wonderful part of Europe.

In most of the world-rankings the city is in the top 5 for

quality of life.

Cracow

Cracow was allegedly founded upon the defeat of a

dragon and has a mythical atmosphere. From the very

fi rst moment you will feel like a ‘time traveller’: the Wawel

Castle, the Old Town and the impressive temples reveal

the mysterious atmosphere of this historical city. However,

as Cracow is the most signifi cant Polish city culturally with

a fast-growing international student community, you will

defi nitely experience the perfect harmony of the past and

the present.
