Physical model
The fundamental part of this project was about antropometry and ergonomy, applied to the handle part of the potato masher. Through a series of prototyping and testing iterations, the final shape of the handle guarantees a natural and comfortable use of this tool.

A minimalistic series of lamps coming from thesame unique concept of sustainability.
LIghting project: Eggshell
The idea and the task I wasgiven was to use recycled CFRPa material used for constructingand technical part of the aircraft,in order to develop some concepts for cabin interiors.That’s why I got the idea to redesign the first row seats newspaper holders, that are usually made by textile and notso userfriendly. My idea wasto integrate the newspaperholder with compter/ ipod holder as well as with someroom for food and beverages.In the first concepts I was tryingto recreate the same linesthat people from the back seats rows have, and after that Itryed to be more free to experiment more with shapes.That’s a selection of the ones Ithink were more interesting.Those Ideas remain just in aconcpet stage as I was transferredfor my internship to the Cabin Interior Airbus department in Hamburg afterwards.I’ve tried also to develop asolution for an ipod holder suitable for different ipod sizes, inspired by the fine-art canvas. This project has been applied for a patent by CTC Gmbh.

The internal structure of the lamp consists of two aluminium
elements. These elements also host the LED light stripes.
A shell made of papier-mache rests on the two aluminium
elements, and a light diffuser disc is located at the bottom of
the lamp, locked by a recycled plastic pipe element.

Gluppy is a pocket size gluten detector charac-
terised by a user friendly interction.The object
interact with the user through a visual feedback.
The light feedback is created by a RGB Led and
diffused along all the object edge by a polycar-
bonate ring. To switch on Gluppy you need to tilt
it throughout your meal. The spectrum analysis
happens this way: a spectrometer analyses the
light reflected by food, the data is then send to
the mobile phone via Bluetooth 2.0, and the
mobile sends data to a Cloud service, where the
data is matched to obtain the food chemical
profile. A red or green light communicate to the
user if the content of gluten is above or below
the safety threshold of 20 ppm.
It is also possible to check the data on a mobile
App and to share that info with a Celiac online
community with the aim to create a map of
“safe” restaurants, or just to create a personal
database to keep in your pocket.

Technical features and prototyping3D printing & Arduino
The prototype was 3D printed plastic and
lasercutted polycarbonate.
The visual feedback simulation has been done
with Arduino, tilt switch botton and RGB led.
The all electric circuit is made to be as small as
possible, of course in the limits of prototyping
tools (Arduino board, battery ..)
Technical features and prototyping
The product is meant to be pocket-size, and
shaped to be very handy and ergonomic. It is
made by two simmetric pieces (in polycarbonate)
kept together by a ring of transparent polycar-
bonate which lets the user clearly see the light
signals emitted by the internal LED as a visual
feedback. Half of the object is created trough an
injection moulding process, while the other one
is kept together using a snap fit system.The
internal components are attached to the main
body trough four hooks (directly printed in the
creation process of the two shells) where it is
possible to fit the pre-assembled electronics
cirtuits. The charging base is made by two parts:
a flat base and a top shell, which are kept
together by a small cylinder to which is also
screwed the electronic board of the induction
charging system. The induction coil is instead
glued to the superior part of the charging base
station. The material of the base is opaque
polycarbonate.

Branding, Identity and Interior Design project. rand-ing,For this project I worked in a three people team and we tried to develop a traditional North Italian bistrot, named Saòr (the venetian word for “taste”).It has been a 360° project as we developed the exterior pavillion, the internal furniture as well as the Identity, logo, branding and communication. We got the inspiration from the “Sagra” a traditional North Italian type of food festival, which is essentially characterised by a huge amount of traditional and local food, wine and good noise of people eating and having a good time. We tried to rethink this essence in a modern and somehow estetically north european way.

Configuration possibilitiesVariants of the Pavillion System
Saòr Concept leaves a lot of space to different possible configurations and variants. The Modular Pavillion system can be reconfigured according to the
local needs: different layouts can be created. The structure can be covered on the top and sides with white tends, or it can be left uncovered to enjoy
good weather conditions.
It is possible to apply the concept of Saòr also to a Pop-up Store, with some reductions. This type of temporary event is adheres perfectly to the concept
of a Sagra. The signage and advertising of shops is coordinated under the same Brand Identity (see next pages).
FurnitureThe Restaurant Table system
Three constants in the design of the Table system are
repeated on every model to create uniformity and
coherence.
The table is a hallmark of Saòr pavillions. Every place
is furnished with table of generous dimensions. Each
table is six meters long and it is surrounded by four
benches which are two and ninety meter long each.
We created such long tables in order to give a strong
coherence with the concept of Sagra (which is a local
event characterised by this type of shared eating
tables). When eating at Saòr you are invited to share
the table with other people thus promoting a friendly
and festive atmosphere.
Tables are made by big multilayer honeycomb panels
to decrease their weight. Assembly is quick and easy.
The table system includes a serie of accessories which
have been developed to serve funcionality with a
coherent look.

Durign summer 2015 after winning an Erasmus plus scholarship, I did my internship in a Danish Furniture Design company inCopenhagen. Among different tasks like redesign of a low table, spatial concepts and rendering for furniture fairs, 2D drawings and 3D modelling, I’ve been the main contributor to this collection of carpets.The idea behind is to show how human activities are ruining our environment. I was given a series of pictures about environmental disaster, and I had to develop different patterns living just a slight memory of the original pictures. The carpets are made of naturally dyed woolen yarns, the the colors where chosen fairly neutral to put the attention on the imagine and her meaning. I really enjoyed this project and I find the task chellenging from the design point of view.

In this project I had to designa new and peculiar concept for doors and windows handlesthat had to be done out of Zink.I tryed to think about unusualshapes, I wanted to create anobject that gives the sense ofdynamism with lively and “strong”shapes. By doing that I was inspired by the italian artistic movement called futurism, thatgives clearly the idea of dinamismand 3D space in a 2D canvas.I developed two slightly differentoptions of the same handle,one squared and one with triangularshape. I developed also two light-switches to complet the project.
Physical model: 3D printed gypsum,coated with glue, and threelayers of undercoat, primer and topcoat. to give realistic look and a proper color.

In this course I was asked todesign a door and window handleas well as a light switch supposedto be made out of Zink.One of the tasks was to made anobject new and peculiar but atsame time confortable to use.That’s why I wanted to create an object that gives the idea of movement and dinamism using lively and marked shapes, mayberesulting a bit unconventional for a door handle.For this project I took inspirationfrom the italian art movement called futurism, as it rapresent the world dynamis and three-dimensionality in the two dimensions of a canvas.The models were 3D printed ingypsum, afterwards a layer of primer, undercoat and finallytopcoat were given to complete the model.

Master thesis project: Smart luggageThe Smart Trolley is made out if recycled carbon fiber to be light, durable, and sustainable. Fits all low-cost airlines permitted sizes for hand luggage and thanks to its shape fits easily into the plane cabins storages.Smart Trolley reduces the hassle of dragging the luggage on irregular pavings thanks to its shock-absorbing designed wheels and to the rotating handle. It also features a set of smart functionalities to keep the frequent traveller always connected and in control of its gears, such as an embedded digital scale, a fingerprint lock mechanism, an ePaper display that serves the use of showing the luggage weight and the traveller informations, and a location tracking system combined of GPS and Bluetooth. All the smart features were implemented into a working prototype developed with Arduino, besides the GPS and Bluetooth that were only represented into the visual smartphone app.

Load cell weight, induction charger and ingerprint boards with solenoid. Fingerprint, button (not touch in the prototype becuse of the costs) and display (not ePaper in the prototype becuase of the costs).
Smart luggage: featuresWheels, handle & Space division
Particular attention was paid to the development of a cuscioning and antinoise wheels, trying to find the perfect shape for this purpose I introducedan elliptical element inside the plastic rays of the wheel structure. Wheels are secured with a snapfit system to give the user the possibility to changethem To better improve the UX during the luggage transportation I’ve created a system to rotate the handle shown in the drawing below.To strive getting the best user experience, also the internal space of the Smart Trolley has been carefully conceived, dividing the luggage in “business” and “clothes” areas.
