RNF20 protein required for MLL-rearranged leukemia amplification
and Study describes how multiple RNA
binding proteins cooperatively control genetic splicing code.

AML has symptoms like fatigue, difficulty to coagulate and high-risk infections. Now the medical treatment to patients who suffer this kind of cancer is about chemotherapy and bone-marrow transplant.
This process happens inside cell nucleus, and during transcription processes and translation can happen alterations and it can produce cancer.

CSHL Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is a private, non-profit institution with research programs focusing on:• Cancer• Neurobiology• plant genetics
that have studied the molecular cause of AML and its possible solution.
• Childhood Acute Leukemia is caused by the order
alteration of a gene called Mixed-Lineage Leukemia
(MLL).
• The problem lies in proteins of the chromatin, and for
that reason the scientists of Vakoc Laboratory are
looking for new therapeutic targets in this proteins.
This mechanism has been used with other medicines
and probably in the future the LMA treatment will consist
in the effect of the medicine on the RNF20 and the
target proteins like the Ubiquitin.
The expression of the gene that caused LMA depends on the RNF20 protein, for that reason the researchers are using this knowledge to discover therapeutic targets that affect this protein.
OPINIONI think this research work is so much
important, because it provided outstanding advances to develop the
medical care to LMA. Besides, I think the medical cure discovery is coming up
soon and it benefits enormously to the cancer patients, because they would avoid chemotherapy that is highly degenerative method to organism

• Some kind of cancer and neurodegenerative upsets can be caused by upsets in the joint process of the RNA.
• Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoparticle (hnRNP) proteins are proteins groups
• they join the RNA and help to regulate the expression of other proteins through the control in the alternative splicing process of gene.
The aim of the studies is predicting the joint process of
the RNA in different kind of cells and it can be possible
understanding what mechanism do joint proteins use to
regulate the alternative splicing and when scientists
know about it, they will be able to develop medicines to
attack the specific cause of some illnesses.
hnRNP regulate by their self and they also regulate to other RNA binding proteins.
Most of changes that happen in cancer are on introns, and as before it was mentioned, they are eliminated by splicing, although the intronic regions often join with hnRNB proteins.
OPINION
I think this discovery about the link between the hnRNP proteins and the splicing regulation is so much useful to science, because this discovery approximates us treatments to frequent diseases around the world like cancer y neurodegenerative upsets, therefore I think scientists should continue with the research, because it would bring a lot of positive impacts to society.

Medical utility
Attack the specific cause of cancer
The study is very important not only for people with cancer, but also for those who suffer from diseases that are caused by introns that were not eliminated.
