■ Effective pathways – TVET qualifications or

practitioner background should have a full opportunity to benefit from further, postsecondary and higher education increase attractiveness of

initial TVET by meeting student aspirations, support lifelong learning, reduce artificial barriers i.e. repeat course material and reduce inequality and promote social inclusion.

■ Scholarship programs – To boost TVET,

government, non-government organizations and industries could give more scholarships to potential TVET graduates especially those from low income families.

■“Vocational always been my first option

since the beginning and I have no doubt it was my best decision. Vocational education programs have made a real difference in my life ; they build self confidence and leadership skills by allowing me to utilize my unique gifts and talents. AND I HAD FUN TOO!”

An annual competition organised by Petrosains, this national level science competition was first introduced in 2009 as an initiative to promote effective and informal learning methods, and popularise science amongst secondary school students.

Maker Studio is Petrosains’ first Maker-Space for everyone, ages 8+. We are all about teaching

STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. We are open daily.

We also teach Coding, Design Thinking and Prototyping to everyone.

Maker Studio is suitable for students age 8+, teens, adults, educators, amateur makers,

professional makers, hobbyists, crafters, home-schoolers, artisans and certainly, the Petrosains

visitors.

It is where people get to Create, Collaborate and Construct.

It a suitable place to nurture your 21st century skills.
