2016 Annual Report 1
DEAR FRIENDS:
At Atrium Medical Center, our promises to you are simple. We’re here for you and your family when you need us. And we’re committed to helping our entire community grow healthier, too.
We’ve made the same pledges — and done our best to keep them — for a remarkable 100 years. We’ve served our neighbors through disasters, wars, epidemics and recessions, always putting our patients first. We’ve introduced life-saving technologies and brought new, needed services to our region. We’ve always kept an eye on the future while focusing on what our patients need today.
I’m honored to be leading our hospital as we begin our next century of service. Later this year we’ll mark the 10th anniversary of Atrium Medical Center, a milestone that celebrates how our hospital — and our dedicated people — adapt so well to changing times. We couldn’t be more excited about the opportunities ahead to serve you and all of our neighbors.
At the same time, we’re deeply grateful for your support — and never more so than in our centennial year. You’re part of a proud tradition of giving that extends back to the early 1900s, when Middletown Hospital was just a dream and a goal. Thanks to your interest and commitment, our hospital — and our region — have never been stronger.
You can count on us to keep our promises, today and for years to come. Now, let the next century of care begin!
Gratefully,
Michael R. Uhl President, Atrium Medical Center
thank you!Carol J. Turner, FACHE, retired as Atrium Medical Center president and CEO in December 2016 after 37 years of service to the hospital. Atrium Medical Center Foundation salutes Carol for her compassionate leadership in building healthier communities.

KEEPERS OF THE PROMISE
When George M. Verity, George Harvey and Colin Gardner Sr. put their considerable influence to work to help create Middletown’s first hospital in 1917, their actions promised a healthier future for their neighbors. Their leadership was supported by hundreds of community members who also believed in the promise and helped bring it to life.
One hundred years later, we stand on the shoulders of giants as we, too, keep the promise of building healthier communities here in southwest Ohio. As we celebrate the hospital’s centennial year, we’re grateful to all who came before us. Our record-breaking gala in September 2016 launched a year of celebration and gratitude. To position Atrium for success in the next century, we launched the Tomorrow’s Promise: Continuing the Legacy campaign. The success of phase one, Fulfilling a Promise to Our Elders, enabled Atrium to open a new Senior Emergency Center in the spring. Phase two, The Promise of Hope, is now underway to enhance behavioral health services at Atrium.
The Foundation unites donors from all walks of life who want to change lives. Thanks to their generosity, today the Foundation’s assets stand at more than $21 million, enabling us to do more good than ever in our community. Increased giving from hospital employees and a growing donor base are just two of the reasons behind the Foundation’s strength.
As they support better health care for their neighbors, many of our donors are creating their own legacy of caring. Among those we highlight in this report are:
• Rick and Linda Baxter, Debby Akers and Judy McConnell, Todd and Rebecca Wilber, and other individuals, families and foundations who share a commitment to the Foundation’s mission
• Dr. and Mrs. Subodh Wadhwa, who see firsthand how gifts to the Foundation benefit patients
• Arlington Pointe, partnering to create a better hospital experience for our elders
• All who participated in our gala, Memories Are Made of This — Celebrating 100 Years
• Atrium Auxiliary Middletown, Middletown Area Federation of Women’s Clubs and other groups who serve selflessly
As Atrium begins its second century of service, the Foundation is already helping to create a promising future that would make our founders proud. We’re honored to partner with you to keep the promise of a healthy future.

SUBODH AND MEENA WADHWA, MD
Subodh Wadhwa, MD, admits he got a little “choked up” when he saw the anniversary banners located around Atrium’s lobby. These colorful signs honor the founding families, pioneering physicians and significant achievements of the last century at Atrium Medical Center.
“These wonderful people were instrumental in making this hospital what it is today, and I am so very grateful,”
says Dr. Wadhwa, who has practiced at Atrium for more than 30 years. “This hospital has meant everything to my career, providing me a way of helping so many people while earning a living.”
Dr. Wadhwa himself has been a leader, including being the first dedicated neurologist at Middletown Regional Hospital. In 1997, he and emergency medicine physician Ralph Talkers, MD, were among the first in the region to introduce a clot-busting drug to be used at the hospital to halt strokes and prevent disabling brain damage. Dr. Wadhwa serves on Atrium Medical Center Foundation’s Physician Liaison Committee and on the hospital’s Board of Directors.
But in addition to acknowledging the tremendous efforts of the people in Atrium’s last 100 years of service, Dr. Wadhwa has abundant praise for the “people in the trenches” today. “The care, the skill, the big hearts that these nurses, therapists, technicians and others have — it’s overwhelming,” he says. “If you want to know what dedication is, follow an ICU nurse around for an hour or two.”
This gratitude of Dr. Wadhwa and his wife, Meena, for Atrium and its people have motivated them to contribute loyally to the Foundation. “But of course!” says Dr. Wadhwa. “We believe in giving back, but we also give because we see the differences that the Foundation’s efforts make in the hospital.”
Dr. Wadhwa was the physician chair for the Foundation’s 2013 Moments Matter campaign for Atrium’s Neuroscience and Stroke Program, which raised nearly $1.6 million to help patients and families cope with stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions.
The Wadhwas have raised three children in Middletown and now enjoy four grandchildren. “Middletown is home, and Atrium is a big part of the well-being of this region,” Dr. Wadhwa says.

RICK AND LINDA BAXTER
Distance means so little when someone means so much, the adage goes. These are indeed true words when speaking of Rick and Linda Baxter and what they mean to Atrium Medical Center Foundation.
Linda served as Foundation president from 1995 to 2009, until she and Rick moved to Georgia for
his next career step and Linda began work for the American Heart Association. The couple moved to North Carolina in 2015 to care for their parents and discovered they love the region. Linda and Rick have moved into a home in the Blue Ridge Mountains, enjoying beautiful views and frequent nature hikes. Both are active in their careers – Rick as a consultant to apparel companies, and Linda preparing to resume work for a non-profit organization.
“Life is good, but we remember with fondness our dear friends in Ohio, especially those connected to Atrium and the Foundation,” says Rick.
Linda was instrumental in taking the Foundation to a new level, including initiating a comprehensive development plan. Under her skilled leadership, the Foundation raised more than $1.6 million over eight years with annual campaigns that distributed PALS (pediatric advanced life support) bags to area EMT squads, supported the Diabetes Wellness Center,
established the Wilbur and Mary Jean Cohen Women’s Center and filled many other critical needs. In addition, a very successful capital campaign raised $5.1 million to create the Heart Center at Atrium Medical Center.
Linda and Rick continue to help the Atrium community. They are members of the Foundation’s Beacon Society of generous donors; plus, by including Atrium in their estate plans, they are members of the Heritage Society.
“I find great comfort that the Foundation continues to strengthen Atrium’s ability to serve the health care needs of the people of southwest Ohio,” Linda says. “Rick and I have a passion for the community and are happy to support the outstanding work the Foundation does, now under Mike Stautberg’s leadership.”
“Part of Linda Baxter’s legacy was how she established a community of long-lasting connections, with people remaining loyal to Atrium and the Foundation no matter where life takes them,” says Candice DeClark Peace, Foundation board member. “Now, even though they are many miles away, we benefit from Rick and Linda’s friendship and support. We love when they can visit us.”
Linda says serving as Foundation president for 14 years was a distinct privilege. “I thank all the friends of the Foundation for their tremendous support. They helped us to increase the Foundation’s assets from approximately $1 million when I arrived to more than $11 million at the end of my service,” she says. “Then and now, generous donors really help shape the future of the Foundation.”

HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT GROUP, ARLINGTON POINTE
Every older adult who is now receiving emergency care at the wonderful new Senior Emergency Center at Atrium Medical Center can thank Arlington Pointe for making a significant contribution to our 2016 Fulfilling a Promise to Our Elders campaign.
Opened in April 2017, the new Senior Emergency Center is a dedicated space in Atrium’s Emergency Trauma Center for patients age 65 years and up. The center has a soothing, quieter environment with chairs and beds designed for older bodies. Features such as non-skid floors, senior-friendly call buttons, fall monitors in every bed, additional railings and hearing assistance make this area safer and easier for seniors.
Members of the Health Care Management Group team include, left to right, Greg Miller, Allan Acheson, Jamie Brose, Steve Boymel, Tim Miller, Liz Sebesy and Shane Craycraft.

Arlington Pointe, a nursing home and short-term rehabilitation facility in Middletown, is located just a few miles from Atrium.
“Going to an emergency department can cause major anxiety for seniors,” says Greg Miller, executive vice president for Health Care Management Group, the parent company of Arlington Pointe. “We were eager to help this effort at Atrium, so our residents and other older adults in the region have an easier time in the emergency department.”
Greg explains his organization was especially willing to help because they know the concept works. “At another one of our facilities, we’ve seen the enormous difference a better emergency and hospital experience makes to our residents, and we want that for the residents of Arlington Pointe,” he says.
The physicians, nurses and other staff at Atrium’s Senior Emergency Center have special training in assessing the needs of older patients. They know how to get information and how to help ensure follow-up care when a patient leaves the hospital.
“We’re very grateful that Arlington Pointe and the Health Care Management Group not only made a significant contribution to the opening of this center, but also have committed to provide support in the coming years,” says Bill Thornton, campaign chair.
“Atrium’s Senior Emergency Center is a terrific idea, and we’re happy to be a part of it,” Greg concludes.
“We’ve seen the
enormous difference a
better emergency and
hospital experience
makes to our residents,
and we want that
for the residents of
Arlington Pointe.”

DEBBY AKERS AND JUDY MCCONNELL
“The people who work at Atrium Medical Center are true treasures for this community.”
Those words by Debby Akers begin to describe the gratitude she has for the care and compassion shown for her mother, Judy McConnell, during Judy’s stay at Atrium in 2016.
In February, Judy, a resident of Michigan, was in a terrible car accident in Louisville, Kentucky, with injuries including a severed foot. Successful surgery to reattach the foot and a stay at a Louisville hospital got Judy on the path to recovery. But Debby, who stayed with her mom every night in the Louisville hospital, was eager to get her mom to Middletown, where Debby lives.
As soon as Judy was able, Debby arranged for a move to Atrium’s Rehabilitation Center, which provides comprehensive services for patients recovering from stroke, injuries and
other conditions that require an intensive nursing and therapy approach. Debby’s mom also spent time in Intensive Care when she had a blood clot during her stay.
“I was there with Mom for every day of her three-week stay at Atrium. Each person — therapist, nurse, doctor, technician, staff member — who assisted in her care was kind, never in a hurry, and had an incredible way of explaining what they were doing,” Debby reports. After discharge, Judy stayed with Debby and continued therapy at Atrium on an outpatient basis. She has since returned to her Michigan home.
“I’ve had a lot of experience with other hospitals and can absolutely state that no other hospital offers what Atrium does,” Debby says. “People here work as a team, to help with every aspect of the patient’s recovery.”
Akers Packaging Service Group was one of the sponsors of the Memories Are Made of This — Celebrating 100 Years centennial gala held in September. In gratitude for Judy’s care, Debby and her husband Bill donated tickets for a table of 10 to be used by Rehabilitation Center employees.
“The people of Middletown and surrounding communities are exceptional people — and that’s why Atrium is so good,” says Debby, a regular supporter of Atrium’s Foundation. “We have great people working here to help their neighbors.”

REBECCA AND TODD WILBER
Rebecca and Todd Wilber met while working at Walt Disney World in Florida. Rebecca was in restaurant management, and Todd in culinary management. Rebecca became involved with the Taco Bell organization and in 1998, the couple moved to West Chester as they became franchise owners of local Taco Bells. Today, the company they formed — Cincinnati Taco Investments (CTI Restaurants) — owns 11 Taco Bells in the northern Cincinnati area and one UNO Pizzeria & Grill, with nearly 400 employees.
The couple has always promised to give back to their communities — a promise they absolutely keep. For Atrium Medical Center Foundation, this means benefiting not only from the Wilbers’ financial support, but also as these unofficial ambassadors to West Chester help us make even more friends in the area.
“Years ago, we went to our first Atrium Foundation social event and it ran like a well-oiled machine,” says Rebecca. “Everyone had fun. I asked people I knew how to get involved so we could help Atrium and its foundation.”
Rebecca’s high energy and incredible business skills are part of the reason she was recently selected to be in the Power 100 by Cincy Magazine, saluting people of influence and power in Greater Cincinnati.
“I am proud to ask people to become involved with Atrium,” says Rebecca, who serves as president of CTI. “I love the people there and have tremendous respect for how Atrium serves the people of West Chester and other surrounding communities.”
Todd serves as CTI vice president, and he and Rebecca have two sons, Eric and Ryan, and two grandsons, Aiden (age 3) and Landen (age 1 1/2).
“We have been blessed by God with this wonderful family,” says Rebecca, “and we’ve been blessed with a successful business, something that I never in a hundred years would have believed we could have. We believe strongly in giving back, of which Atrium is an important part, and we want that to be part of our legacy.”

HEAL FAMILY FUN FESTIVAL AND STEPS 4 HEALING RUN/WALK What a splendid day! A crowd of over 400 people gathered for the seventh annual HEAL (Help Endure a Loss) Family Fun Festival on July 9, 2016, at the Niederman Family Farm in Liberty Township. Participants included many who have experienced one of life’s greatest tragedies, the death of a child. Nearly 500 people enjoyed rides, games, food and friendship at the festival. Earlier that morning, nearly 100 people participated in the third annual Steps 4 Healing Run/Walk, also held at the Niederman Family Farm. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, walk/run registrations, silent auction and other fundraising activities, these back-to-back events netted nearly $10,000 for HEAL.
HIGHWAY TO HELPThe event is promoted “rain or shine!” but the motorcyclists and their family and friends were happy to have a sunny day for the second annual Highway to Help, held August 6, 2016. The event, created by Atrium employee James Bruggeman, raised nearly $7,000 this year to benefit the annual holiday Adopt-A-Family program at Atrium. The three-hour covered bridge ride was followed by a fun cookout and prizes at Mutt’s Brewery Lounge in Trenton.

GALA NETS NEARLY $290,000 FOR SENIOR CARE
What makes a memory? People and places? Dreams and ambitions? Pride and joy? Answer: All the above. In fact, these themes abounded at Atrium Medical Center Foundation’s fourth triennial gala, Memories Are Made of This – Celebrating 100 Years, held on September 24, 2016, at the Sharonville Convention Center. The gala kicked off a year-long celebration of Atrium Medical Center’s progress, from its 1917 founding as a 28-bed community hospital to today’s 328-bed regional medical center.
Joseph and Carol Bidwell chaired an enthusiastic, hard-working gala committee that included Neila Barnes, Ellen Block, Barbara Chappell, Patricia Miller Gage, Karen Harrison, Sarah Kaup, Sara Mahoney, Beth Marchant, Dee Dee Mosko, Saundra Pearce, Gina Pennington, Lyndsey Pittman, Jennifer Ridge, MD, Frances Sack, Carole Schul and Barbara Strait.
Thanks to the generosity of gala attendees as well as Visionary Sponsor Baker Concrete Construction; Legacy Sponsors AK Steel, Akers Packaging Service Group, Cohen Recycling and Magnode; and other generous individuals and businesses, the gala netted nearly $290,000 to help establish the Senior Emergency Center at Atrium as part of the Foundation’s Fulfilling a Promise to Our Elders campaign.
From the venue’s grand atrium flanked by banners commemorating the hospital’s founders, citing historic events and honoring legendary men and women, to cocktails amidst the magnificent silent auction (the most successful ever!), to dinner and awards in the sparkling ballroom, it is safe to say that a good time was had by a record-breaking 1,100 celebrants.
As guests enjoyed their dinner, Foundation leaders announced the names of the 2016 Physician and Community Heroes. This year, the Foundation honored the legendary community leaders who founded Middletown Hospital — George M. Verity, George Harvey and Colin Gardner Sr. — as well as pioneering physicians of the time – Mabel E. Gardner, MD, David F. Gerber, MD and E.O. Bauer, MD. All were lauded as heroes for their vision and dedication to building the “hospital on a hill.” Atrium’s medical staff also named a Contemporary Physician Hero, W. Thomas Scott, MD. A video chronicling Atrium’s history and another honoring Dr. Scott debuted at the gala. (View these videos at AtriumMedCenter.org/Honorees.)
The evening ended with dancing and conversation, catching up with old friends, making new acquaintances and looking forward to another fabulous Foundation gala in 2019. As committee co-chair Carol Bidwell notes, “Now is the time to capture the spirit of our founders and meet the challenges ahead. It’s time to make more history – and more memories.”

“Together, we’re
strengthening
health care in our
region, now and for
years to come.”HOSPITAL THRIVES, THANKS TO GENEROUS DONORS
It’s nearly impossible to imagine where Atrium Medical Center would be today without the generous and thoughtful support, over 100 years, of countless men and women who have believed in the hospital’s mission and delivered on their promise to support it.
Impossible — because donors to Atrium Medical Center Foundation, and all those who came before them, have touched nearly every aspect of patient care with their giving. From life-saving technology and needed new services, to wellness programs that promote better health, to care for the uninsured and underinsured, to thoughtful touches that enhance care, Foundation donors make a significant impact for patients and their loved ones every day.
This tradition of giving began even before the hospital was founded. After 1910’s tragic train wreck and 1913’s ravaging flood, the community organized to raise funds for the new Middletown Hospital that opened its doors on March 5, 1917.
That was just the beginning of a remarkable, century-long story of caring. From the 1920s through today, the hospital has expanded seven times to keep up with rapidly changing technology and create the best environment for care and healing. The opening of Atrium Medical Center in 2007, in a new location close to I-75, marked a significant milestone for our region. Such growth and innovation would not be possible without substantial support from community members, hospital employees, physicians, volunteers, businesses and foundations.
The hospital has grown and changed over 100 years to meet the region’s most pressing health care needs.
18 Atrium Medical Center Foundation
Today, Atrium Medical Center Foundation carries on a dynamic legacy of stewardship by offering donors diverse ways to help to build healthier communities. Foundation annual campaigns focus on meeting specific community needs, such as creation of the new Senior Emergency Center and putting a mobile mammography coach on the road. A capital campaign raised $5.1 million to bring advanced heart care to the new Atrium Medical Center. The Heritage Society honors those who leave a legacy by including the Foundation in their will or estate plans. And special events, many with community partners, offer opportunities for fun and fundraising.
“I am continually impressed by our community’s generosity and deeply grateful for all the ways donors selflessly give their time, talent and treasure,” says James B. Kleingers, PE, PS, LEED AP, a long-time Foundation board member and vice chair of the 2005-2008 capital campaign. “Every gift touches lives and improves health right here at home. What a great investment! Together, we’re strengthening health care in our region, now and for years to come.”

WALKING TRAIL HONORS YEARS OF SERVICE
Carol J. Turner’s career spanned 37 years at Atrium Medical Center and Middletown Regional Hospital. Throughout her time here, including the six years she served as Atrium’s president and CEO, she certainly left a legacy of compassion and excellence at the institution she loved and led. In 2016, when Carol retired, many of her friends and colleagues began honoring her by making gifts to complete the walking trail that circles Atrium’s campus, an effort continuing today.
“My dear friend Carol championed the creation of this trail, which encourages health and wellness for patients, visitors, employees and the community,” says Jeffrey Zollett, MD, Atrium Health System Board of Directors. “It’s wonderful to see people recognize her dedication with a gift to complete the final segment of phase one of the trail.”
We’re close to achieving one of Carol’s dreams. If you wish to make a gift in her name to finish this 1.3-mile loop, give online at AtriumMedCenter.org/donate or call the Foundation office at (513) 974-5144.

HELPING FIGHT CANCER IN OUR COMMUNITY
Patients at Atrium Medical Center will benefit from a generous grant by the Gala of Hope Foundation, focused exclusively on fighting cancer in the Miami Valley, to all four Premier Health hospitals.
At Atrium, our Wilbur and Mary Jean Cohen Women’s Center will use a portion of the gift to help buy a breast biopsy system, enabling radiologists to even more accurately target subtle breast lesions.
Additionally, important research being done by Barbara Steel, MD, will be supported with the Gala of Hope gift. Dr. Steel, a pathologist at Atrium for 20 years and former member of the Foundation Board, now serves as Premier’s medical director of blood management. She is conducting research that examines the impact of preoperative treatment of iron deficiency anemia in cancer patients.
“We are very grateful for this gift, especially because it’s difficult to get funding for research in the community hospital setting,” says Dr. Steel. “We’ll treat iron deficiency anemia in many of our cancer patients before their surgery and measure what impact that makes in their fight against cancer.”
The Gala of Hope Foundation was founded in 2012 by Barbara and Bob Mills.

SUPPORTS ATRIUM’S MOBILE MAMMOGRAPHY COACH
When you see an Ohio license plate sporting the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness, you know that driver is helping in the fight against breast cancer. The Breast Cancer Awareness license plate costs $35 a year, and $25 from each plate goes to Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio to further its mission of supporting breast cancer patients.
In 2016, the fund presented Atrium Medical Center with a generous grant to support screenings on our mobile mammography coach.
“We consistently get women coming to the coach for a mammogram and telling us that their last mammogram was a long time ago — or never,” says Anna Meiners, manager of medical imaging and breast services at Atrium. “The coach makes it easy to have a mammogram. Early detection saves lives, and the Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio plays an important role for women’s health.”
You can join the fight and buy the pink ribbon plate either at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles or at www.oplates.com. You don’t have to wait until your birthday to get the special plate.

PROGRAMS DOUBLE GIFTS
“My gift doubled in size, thanks to my employer. I love that!”
We hear that frequently from supporters of Atrium Medical Center Foundation who take advantage of a matching fund program at their place of employment — or their spouse’s. Many area businesses invest their corporate philanthropy dollars in causes that their employees and their families believe in.
In 2016, the number of businesses offering matching funds for the Foundation grew substantially. AK Steel, General Electric, Liberty Mutual, PNC, Quaker Chemical and others joined the dozens of organizations that match their employees’ donations to the Foundation.
“A matching fund program provides a wonderful way to see personal gifts amplified for causes that are important to employees,” says Kirk Reich, president and chief operating officer of AK Steel.
By the way, Atrium Medical Center Foundation now has “501(c)(3) public charity status.” This designation makes it easier for companies to include Atrium in their matching gifts program.
“I’d encourage anyone considering a donation to Atrium Medical Center Foundation to check with their employer to see if they offer a matching gift program,” says Kirk.
We agree!

Atrium Medical Center is now eligible to receive matching gifts through these companies. Please contact the Foundation if you’d like to learn more about having your company match your gifts to the Foundation.

ATRIUM AUXILIARY MIDDLETOWN
When you’re a patient or a visitor at Atrium, often little things can make your day better. Many of these extras are provided by Atrium Auxiliary Middletown.
In 2016 funds from the Auxiliary helped provide eight chairs — really comfortable chairs — for visitors at Atrium’s new Senior Emergency Center. Another generous Auxiliary contribution went to the Friend Program, ensuring that these smiling visitors continue to brighten up a patient’s day.
Auxiliary funds also fulfill big needs, such as scholarships that help to educate the next generation of health care professionals. In addition, the Auxiliary purchased a non-invasive bladder scanner for the Senior Emergency Center. And more floor space became available in the rooms at Atrium’s Infusion Center since wall mounts purchased by the Auxiliary now hold vital sign monitors.
Altogether, in 2016, Atrium Auxiliary Middletown contributed $74,500 in new projects and an additional $21,607 for ongoing commitments. “We thank people who shop at Hilltop Gift Shop and support our fundraising efforts, such as our ham sale, book fairs, and jewelry sale,” says Marsha Caudill, Auxiliary president.
And we are grateful to the wonderful members of the Auxiliary!

96TH ANNUAL CHARITY BALL
Guests stepped into a magical world of fairy tales for Once Upon a Time, the 96th Annual Charity Ball sponsored by the Middletown Area Federation of Women’s Clubs.
A lighted Cinderella coach parked outside the Miriam G. Knoll Building at Miami University-Middletown delighted the 220 guests at the December 3, 2016, event. Walking through a forest entrance, guests entered Johnson Hall decorated with a color scheme of red, white and black. Centerpieces on the tables included royal coaches and trees with red apples.

Mica Glaser Jones and Theron Jones were the event chairs, along with co-chairs Jamie Murphy Harrison and Philip Harrison. This year’s Charity Ball honorees were longtime community volunteers Virginia and Chester Jenkins.
“We were delighted to carry on this wonderful tradition that celebrates our community and also helps women in need, right here at home,” Mica says.
Proceeds of $15,842 were donated to the Federation’s Endowment for Women’s Services at Atrium Medical Center. Created in 2010, this endowment supports mammograms and other preventive and diagnostic services for women who require financial assistance. Since the Charity Ball began in 1920, the Federation has donated more than $1 million to fund equipment and services at the hospital.
