What is bike?

A motorcycle (also called a motorbike, bike, motor or cycle) is a two [1][not in citation given] or three wheeled [2] motor vehicle. Motorcycle

design varies greatly to suit a range of different purposes: long distancetravel, commuting, cruising, sport including racing, and off-road riding.Motorcycling is riding a motorcycle and related social activity such as

joining a motorcycle club and attending motorcycle rallies.

According to the United States Department of Transportation the number of fatalities per vehicle mile traveled was 37 times higher for motorcycles than for cars.

The first commercial design for a self-propelled cycle was a three-wheel design called the Butler Petrol Cycle, conceived of Edward Butler in England in 1884] He exhibited his plans for the vehicle at the Stanley Cycle Show in London in 1884. The vehicle was built by the Merriweather Fire Engine company in Greenwich, in 1888.

Research comprises "creative work undertaken on a systematic basis in orderto increase the stock of knowledge, including knowledge of humans, culture

and society, and the use of this stock of knowledge to devise newapplications The primary purposes of basic research (as opposed to appliedresearch) are documentation, discovery, interpretation, or the research anddevelopment (R&D) of methods and systems for the advancement of humanknowledge. Approaches to research depend on epistemologies, which varyconsiderably both within and between humanities and sciences. Types of

research (1) basic research (2) applied research .

Research design

A research design is the "blue print" of the study. The design of a study defines the study type (descriptive, correlational, semi-experimental, experimental, review, meta-analytic) and sub-type (e.g., descriptive-longitudinal case study), research question, hypotheses, independent and dependent variables, experimental design, and, if applicable, data collection methods and a statistical analysis plan. Research design is the framework that has been created to seek answers to research questions.

Types of research design:

1. exploratory research design2. diagnostic and descriptive research design3. experimental research design

In this study I have used descriptive research design as I have study consumer behavior regarding hero vs. Bajaj

Data collection:

Data collection is the process of gathering and measuring information on variables of interest, in an established systematic fashion that enables one toanswer stated research questions, test hypotheses, and evaluate outcomes. The data collection component of research is common to all fields of study including physical and social sciences, humanities, business, etc. While methods vary by discipline, the emphasis on ensuring accurate and honest collection remains the same. The goal for all data collection is to capture quality evidence that then translates to rich data analysis and allows the building of a convincing and credible answer to questions that have been posed.

Hero Splendor Pro Classic Review

http://www.rushlane.com/hero-splendor-pro-classic-review-12146716.html

Mar 12th 2015, Ash win Ram N P

Most affordable cafe racer motorcycle in India.

When Indian motorcycle buyers are still barely getting acquainted with Cafe Racer style motorcycles, it was a surprise when Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Splendor Pro Classic at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, as the world’s largest motorcycle maker (by

volume) was never known to launch products for niche segments.

Not that they had to spend big money in designing the Pro Classic, but the strictly-textbook motorcycle-maker always

focused on churning out massive volumes with every product, and this addition in Splendor series does not seem to be intended for more profit.

There are only three Cafe Racer style motorcycles in India as of now, including Hero Splendor Pro Classic, and each of them is pricier by far and powerful than the next, from bottom up.

While the other two are really capable of provoking a race on the streets, being one of the least powered motorcycles in the world we thought there is no way Splendor Pro Classic can, until we were inadvertently proven otherwise.

Bajaj Patina ES Review -Exclusive

Motor Octane | Mumbai Feb 11, 2015 02:35 PM IST

http://wap.business-standard.com/article/motoroctane/bajaj-platina-es-review-exclusive-115021100573_1.html

Bajaj Patina ES 9 the Patina was first launched in 2006. Its design was based on the earlier Wind 125, whereas the engine was sourced from the CT 100. But the new Patina ES gets a bunch of upgrades beginning with a wider bodythan before. The color scheme has changed and even the shades on offer area lot trendier than before. The new Patina ES comes with three color options, with a new bright 'Electron Blue' shade. It also gets new graphics. Other elements that highlight the looks of the bike are the five-spoke matte black alloy wheels, graphite-cultured engine and a black exhaust with a chrome heat shield. Though the main criteria of choosing a bike in this category is price and mileage, the looks are pretty neat for an entry-level motorcycle. The bike does feel broader than the Patina, which is still very flat and basic instyling.

Bajaj Patina ES 5 The instrumentation is basic with a speedometer on the leftand a fuel gauge with a neutral indicator on the right side. Getting started onthe bike is now a smooth affair, as it comes with an electric starter. A slight push of the starter button and it fires up instantly. The seating posture is upright and the saddle height (798mm) is ideal for riders with average height. With a kern weight of 108kg, it is a very light bike to handle and maneuver too, though, it has a flip side of not being very stable at speeds above 60km/h and has a top speed of 90km/hr. The skinny tires don't help too much either, as they are added for better fuel efficiency and lighter weight.
