Project 1:purification of waste water with simultaneous production of power: • The base is photocatalysis, where I used carbon nitride from urea and mixed with silver nitrate at .83%wt ratio. • Added potassium phosphate monobasic and waste water as a sacrificial electron agent with base(7.8) and also separately triethanol amine as a separate agent. • The purified water is somewhat acidic with pH 6.7 and TDS of 300.

Project 1:purification of waste water with simultaneous production of power:

• The base is photocatalysis, where I used carbon nitride from urea and mixed with silver nitrate at .83%wt ratio.

• Added potassium phosphate monobasic and waste water as a sacrificial electron agent with base(7.8) and also separately triethanol amine as a separate agent.

• The purified water is somewhat acidic with pH 6.7 and TDS of 300.

• The power production is through hydrogen fuel cell where the rate is 100umol/g/4hrs with stability of about 6 cycles.

• The power production unit for which I am presently working on as my final year project.

• First time H+ ions didn’t come but i am still working on it to get adequate current with sufficient stable result from sunlight.

PROJECT 2:OIL SPILL REMOVAL THROUGH DATE PALM FIBRES.

• But i have sampled many samples like ricehusk, sludge, wool woven fabric material, etc. But date palm fibres topped the list with sorption capacity of 4.53g, at 23 degree celsius at contact time of 5 minutes.

• Oil uptake is rapid • where OSC(oil sorption capacity) was 4.960 g oil/ g

sorbent for 2 min draining time and retains oil for long time. It’s a low-cost, higher biodegradability as it is a natural cellulosic fiber and cost effective

•

• The material is hydrophobic and oleophilic• OSC vs time is studied and after 60 min,the

decresing OSC starts to rise.• sorption capacity of EPFB fibre decreased

significantly from 1.33 g/g to 1.12 g/g at fibre weighed 3 g and 5 g, respectively.

• I also tried to build a digester but due to lack of proper guidance,I failed but my curiousity won’t die till the end of my life.

Eventhough i didn’t optimum results in my bachelors degree project,I strongly believe with proper guidance from you during my M.E-Environemental engg program,i will create an efficient waste to power generation either pilot scale or as a small scale project which will be useful for all kinds of people, especially the poor.
