Your child has performed exceptionally well in the ASSET

Talent Search. They are now part of a select group of

gifted students with access to academically advanced

programmes organised by ASSET and its partners.

Identifying your academically gifted child is a very

important part of the journey, but it is also just the start of

that journey. The ASSET Talent Search helps identify a

gifted student, but what next? This is a question most

parents, like yourself, have.

The ASSET team has been offering programmes for gifted

students since the last nine years and have delivered more

than 70 advanced level courses to academically-gifted

students across India and the UAE. As you browse through

this information booklet, you can read more about all the

programmes we offer.

By participating in gifted programmes, your child will go

through hours of rigorous course-work and build skills like

critical thinking, the ability to reflect, thinking deeply,

communicating your thoughts, problem solving, and will

also get introduced to values like collaboration, empathy

and so on. Further, when they start applying for colleges, it

will also demonstrate to college admission officials that

they can deal with pressure, are highly motivated, and not

afraid to learn from mistakes!

Your child has taken the first step by qualifying for these

programmes - the next step is yours! Schedule a call by

visiting our website www.assettalentsearch.com to receive

guidance about the best course of action based on your

child’s interests and career aspirations.

Congratulations once again, we look forward to interacting

with you and your child!

Congratulations!Dear Parent,

Sincerely,

higher capacity compared to their peers. This ability needs to be

nurtured through advanced academic development.

ASSET has been organising programmes for gifted students for

the last nine years based on research in this field and keeping in

mind their specific needs. We deliver world-class, academically

rigorous programmes.

What do students have to sayabout our past programmes?

I always liked to draw but this was extremely different. I chose architecture because the other courses on the list looked like something we could learn in school. I just felt it would involve a lot of creativity so that’s why I chose it. This course has exceeded my expectations so this was the best summer ever!’

Saankhya Shrivatsa, PSBB Learning Leadership Academy, Bengaluru

Usually, in school, teachers can’t interact with us because there are a lot of kids. At ASSET Summer Programme if I have a doubt even out of class, our instructor sits with us during lunch and snacks and we can ask our questions whenever we want. It’s very easy to talk to him because it’s more like talking to a friend than to a teacher.’

Navya Sanskriti, Sishu Griha Montessori and High School, Bengaluru

Page 6: Programmes for India’s - ASSET Talent Search · Ms Sujatha Mohandas, Principal Sishu Griha Montessori and High School, Bengaluru I liked that there were objectives and goals set

What do parents have to sayabout our past programmes?

Our daughter enjoyed the way of teaching here a lot which is why we decided to send her for the second year. The level of learning here is extremely high, students have almost learnt all the statistical concepts taught in the first year of university! Not just our daughter but all the kids were talking so confidently about correlation coefficients, regressions and outlier sets - it was amazing!’

Madhavi Gupte, Parent

When I read what my daughter wrote I was quite impressed. I always knew she thinks well and has a creative side, but she was not able to portray that on paper. But when I read her work, I was very happy because I could see the way she has evolved and the kind of confidence she has gained. There is a tremendous change in her attitude and the way she speaks as well.’

Reena Thakar, Parent

Page 7: Programmes for India’s - ASSET Talent Search · Ms Sujatha Mohandas, Principal Sishu Griha Montessori and High School, Bengaluru I liked that there were objectives and goals set

What do school leaders have tosay about our past programmes?

After seeing ASSET Summer Programme, I would like to talk to my teachers about how certain subjects can be taught - especially abstract concepts to make them more interesting. In my experience, there are students who like physics and maths, and there are students who shy away from the subject. Here I noticed how the entire class was with the instructor - not a single child was left out. The instructor related to them in their own language, even the technical terms used were simplified to ensure everyone was connected to the discussion.’

Ms Sujatha Mohandas, PrincipalSishu Griha Montessori and High School, Bengaluru

I liked that there were objectives and goals set for all students so a child could work at his or her own pace, and how they were given help if required, but they were left alone to learn through peer interaction. It was also interesting to see how they discovered answers to the questions they themselves put across! That shows to students that they already have the answers, they just have to think about it. It was nice to see how students were able to connect these answers to the concepts that were taught earlier. This gave an opportunity to the child to understand how to transfer what is being taught in the classroom to the real world.’

Think like a MathematicianOverview100 years ago, mathematics was seen as a set of equations to solve life problems. Discoveries like airplane, train, bus and even Google, were done using equations.

All the modern technological developments have come from modern mathematics which makes it holistic in nature with computer applications; learning that is the goal of this course.

future, as well as showcase to college

admission officials that the student has an

ability to understand diverse perspectives

and detect bias.

This course will help students:

• Understand the logical connections

between various ideas and interpretive

nature of knowledge, integrated

approach in learning

• Identify, construct and evaluate

arguments from multiple perspectives

• Detect inconsistencies and common

mistakes in reasoning and understand

the bias within

• Solve problems systematically-

Developing System Thinking for a Glocal

world

• Identify the relevance and importance of

ideas for deeper learning
