Cantor Emily Bruflat from First Lutheran Church in St. Peter, created a worship service to celebrate this milestone! This event will be on Facebook, today, August 9 at 3:00 pm. The event will feature special music with hymns and texts written by women and reflections from pastors who are women, including our own Pastor Joy. Celebrate women in ministry today by joining the worship service here.

Staying Connected in Digital Times

There are Trinity members without access to the local TV cable channel 7 and/or computer broadcasts of our worship services. We are in the process of getting them set up with TV/DVD players in their homes. Here is how you can help...

If you have a small TV/DVD combo or portable/travel DVD player that is no longer being used in your house we would be grateful to have it donated for their use.

If you know of anyone who needs to have TV/DVD players set up in their home, let us know. If you are a person who needs this setup, we have a few available already.

Please contact Nancy Hanson for anything related to this important project at nmhanson @hickorytech.net or 507-317-5436.

Fall Programming

We will be starting the programming year online and at-home. Sunday School will kick off on September 6, Confirmation will kick off on September 9, and High School Youth Group on Sep-tember 13 — all programs will join a combination of online content and physical materials, and none will meet in person. In order to gauge how we can best structure these programs and most sensibly serve our families, we will be sending a survey to our families sometime soon. Please keep an eye out for that survey and be sure to make your voice heard by participating!

Pastor Nikoli has a blog platform on our website where he can respond quickly to the ever-changing world and its events. Many of you have been wondering what your leaders think about the murder of George Floyd and the pro-tests happening in the Twin Cities and across the nation. Check out trinitystpeter.org/blog to get his take on the situation.

What Can I Do….?!

What can I do to be part of the solution and not part of the problem of racism? Perhaps you’ve asked the question in the past and are asking the question again. If you’d like to be part of a time for conversation, study, learning and growing please join Pastor Joy on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm via Zoom. Send an email to [email protected] to get the link.

Grace Street Bible Study

In case you have not heard, Grace street is available through Zoom! Zoom is an interactive pro-gram that allows you – through your computer, tablet, ipad or some sort of device – to see and hear other participants and they will see and hear you too! If you do not have a “device” you can simply call from your phone. All are invited to be part of this Bible study. Please join us Thurs-days at 10:30 am. If you are interested, please send an email to Pastor Joy at [email protected] to sign up.

Offering Options

It is important for us to maintain our levels of offerings during this time when we are not worship-ping in person. If you usually give weekly while at church please mail your offering to Trinity. Here are some other options: Text: send message to 844-373-8817 with the amount you would like to contribute (example: 25). App: download GivePlus through your app store. Web: click on the Give button on our website. Thank you for supporting the mission and ministry of TLC.

Keep them Coming!

We are still collecting Family Fresh receipts. Thank you to those who have been sending them. The use of the Direct you Dollar funds will be determined by Church Council in the future. In the meantime, please send your receipts by mail to the church or drop them off in our “mailbox” by the parking lot entrance doors. The mailbox is typically out during morning hours. Thank you for sup-porting the ministry of Trinity.

Volunteer Needed

We are in need of one person (or more if from same household) to load and deliver about 25 boxes of donations to a thrift store. The boxes are here at the church. Masks will need to be worn and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Contact Jen in the church office if you can help. Thank you.
