Program Overview 2013-2014 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT • e-course: Digital Age Teaching * 10-week professional development e-course for up to 20 faculty participants * Level up faculty skill set in teaching and learning with new media * Certificate badge of achievement: Display anywhere online • Ongoing webinars * Five webinars throughout Digital Age Teaching e-course, led by Tamritz staff and featured expert guests from the field * Additional monthly webinars featuring: developing badge learning curricula; launching badge learning programs; trends and practices in 21 st Century teaching and learning • Community of Practice * Network of Jewish Day Schools, collaborating, co-learning and co-designing around digital badge learning and new media literacies within the Tamritz learning platform * Badge Learning Clearinghouse: Access to badge learning curriculum exchange of icons, rubrics and student exemplars • Face-to-face Training * 1 full day of on-site training with designated school “badge learning team” of 5-6 faculty * Design badging curriculum and constellation; plan program launch for your school * “Badgify” your curriculum, supporting school mission, learning initiatives and outcomes STUDENT LEARNING: MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM • Student Badge Learning Platform * Tamritz Badgestack software platform: 1 year subscription * Collaborative, private learning space for all participating middle school students * Learn across curriculum through badge-empowered courses design by your JDS’s faculty “badge learning advisory team,” both General Studies and Jewish Studies * Frequent, formative feedback and assessment * Multiple learning pathways and choices built into learning experiences * Houses school badge learning curricula and earned badges * Social, participatory interface fostering collaboration within school and with other JDSs • e-Course: Digital Media Literacy Curriculum * 9-week e-course, Digital Media Literacy, leveling up skills and understandings in digital citizenship and learning with new media * Earned badges displayed within learning platform © Tamritz 2013.
