PRINCIPLE
The CertaBlue System enables rapid testing on microbial contaminations of raw materials, critical control points and finished products.
CertaBlue is based on the detection of several metabolic processes which take place within the growing organism and which cause a color change. The system detects these color changes through highly sensitive optical sensors. All tests are ready to use, prefilled with media and equipped with CertaBlue sensors.
In most cases the ready to use vials can be inoculated with a non-diluted sample. The CertaBlue vials contain an optical sensor which can detect carbon dioxide as the universal indicator for microbial growth. The sensor is placed in the bottom of the vial where it directly detects carbon dioxide changes. CertaBlue sensors are only permeable for gases. Liquids, micro-organisms and other particles do not give false results.

EASY
The CertaBlue testing procedure is remarkably easy.Just add 0.1 - 1ml of your product to the CertaBlue test vial and incubate as specified. Results are displayed in real-time when using the AutoScanner. Samples contaminated above the accepted level are quickly detected by the built-in early warning system.
Test vials are ready to use, including growth media and sensor. The limit of detection is one organism and positive vials can be used for retesting.
