Success in Toddlers! A Practical Guide to Challenging BehaviorsAudrey Rowland, M.A.

As toddlers work to make sense of the world, develop relationships, and learn to use their bodies, some behaviors can become challenging in the group environment. Biting and tantrums can be frustrating. Teachers and directors need practical solutions.

In this workshop, we will review the developmental reasons that these behaviors are common and how we can adjust the environment, routines, and interactions to reduce them. We will also discuss best practices for responding to the child. Effective policies and procedures for biting, how to communicate with parents about toddler behaviors, and what to do when biting becomes a crisis in the center will be covered in this workshop.
