Installation, Connections and Flexible Supply Hoses All of our taps are simple to install by either a competent DIYer or qualifi ed plumber. All connec ons use standard BSP (Bri sh Standard Pipe) sizing. Our range of basin mixers are supplied with high quality 350mm long stainless steel braided fl exible hoses with 15mm compression fi ngs for easy installa on.

All of our taps operate at 0.1 bar or above (0.1 bar is equal to 1 metre head of water). In plumbing terms this means, for a gravity fed system, if the base height of your water tank is 1m above a tap, then you will have 0.1 bar of water pressure at the tap.

If you are unsure, we recommend you seek advice from your plumber who will advise you on the plumbing system you have and the likely water pressures it can achieve. If pressures are too low even for our low pressure taps, you will be able to increase your water pressure using a suitable water pump, and again either your retailer or plumber can advise you on this. Please note that all of our taps are also suitable for high pressure plumbing systems.

Tap Operating Pressure Plumbing systems can some mes suff er from poor fl ow rates. The UK is unique in that many homes are s ll using the more tradi onal, low pressure gravity fed plumbing systems which are most commonly found in older proper es.

European manufacturers tend to design taps suitable for more modern plumbing systems which can o en cause problems when installed in a typical UK home, resul ng in a disappoin ng fl ow rate when using the taps.

Tavistock’s in-house design team have recognised this problem and engineered our taps so that all of them are suitable for use with both high and low pressure systems.

Give yourself a head start by buying a Tavistock shower enclosure. We off er Guardshield glass protec on coa ng across the range of shower enclosures and bath screens. It repels water and helps to prevent the build up of lime scale and soap deposits, whilst making the glass easier to clean.

TMV2 & Scald Prevention - The Ultimate In Family SafetyTMV2 is a scheme designed to test the valves and prevent scalding in domes c situa ons. You can be assured that your Tavistock shower valve has been engineered to meet all TMV2 cer fi ca ons and requirements, the standard for showering in domes c use.

The patented thermosta c mixing cartridge within all Tavistock valves maintains the selected temperature during showering and will shut down the fl ow should the pressure or water supply fail at any me and prevent injury due to scalding.

Thermostatic ShoweringAll Tavistock showers are thermosta c, enabling you to set and maintain a safe water temperature when showering.

The TMV2 scheme recommends that the ideal hot water temperature for showers should be 41ºC. To guarantee that the valve temperature cannot exceed the safe temperature of 44ºC, the temperature control valve in all Tavistock shower kits is fi ed with a safety stop mechanism. This automa cally compensates for any varia ons in supply pressure or temperatures, within 2ºC of its pre-selected temperature, shu ng down the fl ow.

This means every member of the family can shower safely without the possibility of scalding.

Connexions If you prefer a fi ed furniture look, Connexions allows our 700mm, 800mm and 1000mm vanity units to be used in conjunc on with fl oor standing storage units and our WC back to wall units in a con nuous run of furniture. A con nuous plinth, infi ll panel and a variety of worktop fi nishes allow you to complete this look.

One of the essen al requirements for a fully fi ed look are con nuous worktops and plinths. It is important that the correct size worktop is selected for each installa on. Plinths can be cut down when used in a run with a WC back to wall unit by concealing the joint behind the WC pan.

Worktops are provided on the 300mm storage units, however this is a painted fi nish rather than laminated and is more suited to stand alone confi gura ons. If used in a run of furniture you may prefer to order a 624mm worktop and cut to size. Addi onal edge strips are provided with all worktops to allow edges to be neatly trimmed. When planning your installa on, pipework runs are an essen al considera on.

Elements to the Range The Connexions system can provide a variety of furniture confi gura ons limited only by your imagina on. We have shown a number of simple layouts (above) to give an insight into the components required. Furniture runs around corners are also possible using the available infi ll panels.

Lighting Evolu on ligh ng units are fi ed with low voltage halogen lamps. A safe and easy to use infrared switch enables the user to ac vate the ligh ng with a simple movement of the hand under the sensor. No need for a pull cord.

Mirror with De-Mister Pads Heated demister pads make steamy bathroom mirrors a thing of the past, and are fi ed as standard on all mirrors with electrics. The heated demister pad will heat the mirror to a few degrees above room temperature within 2-3 minutes, preven ng the mirror from mis ng in even the steamiest of bathrooms. The demis ng eff ect will spread approximately 10-20% further than the pad itself. Evolu on mirror units have been carefully chosen to complement their respec ve base units.

Bathroom Storage & WC Back To Wall Units There are a variety of storage units within the Evolu on range to provide a fully co-ordinated bathroom. All units are supplied fully assembled with the same superb quality fi nishes. The drawers feature high quality metal runners for smooth and easy opera on, whilst all doors feature a so close mechanism. The 500mm and 620mm WC back to wall units enable unsightly pipework to be concealed, providing a clean and clu er-free look.

Drawers All small drawers feature high quality runners and a metal construc on, ensuring a perfectly smooth opera ng drawer system. Drawers can be fully removed if required. Drawer fronts are fully adjustable.

Worktops If you wish to create a Connexions installa on, please ensure you have ordered the correct size worktop. There are two fi nishes available: white and black granite. Addi onal edge strips are provided should your installa on require that worktops be cut to size.

Mirrors with De-Mister Pads Heated demister pads make steamy bathroom mirrors a thing of the past, and are fi ed as standard on all mirrors with electrics. The heated demister pad will heat the mirror to a few degrees above room temperature within 2-3 minutes, preven ng the mirror from mis ng. The demis ng eff ect will spread approximately 10-20% further than the pad itself.

Lighting Aspen ligh ng canopies are fi ed with low voltage halogen lamps which meet all applicable Bri sh Electrical Standards. A safe and easy to use infrared switch enables the user to ac vate the ligh ng with a simple movement of the hand under the sensor.

Laminate Worktops, Plinths & In-Fill PanelWorktops and in-fi ll panels provide the fl exibility to suit your own bathroom installa on.

Plinths are available in lengths of 920mm and 1540mm to complete the fi ed look. These can be cut down so thatany joints are carefully hidden behind the back to wall WC.

Base UnitsEase of installa on is an important feature of the Aspen range. All base units are supplied fully assembled and ready to fi t. A strong and durable construc on is achieved by using the fi nest manufacturing techniques. All visible exterior surfaces are fi nished using high gloss white lacquer, this includes the unit side panels, an area o en overlooked. This quality fi nish provides a water resistant surface - vital within a bathroom environment.

Back to Wall FurnitureAspen back to wall furniture enables the fi ng of back to wall WC’s and semi-counter top basins, cleverly concealing pipework and cisterns behind specially designed units. Units are supplied fully assembled and can be used fi ed together or stand alone.

Drawers & Knobs Aspen units incorporate high quality runners and a metal construc on ensuring a perfectly smooth opera ng drawer system. Drawers can be fully removed. The units also come with chrome door/drawer knobs as standard.

Worktops, Plinths & In-Fill Panels Meridian worktops are available in 504mm or 804mm lengths, depending on your installa on requirements. The 300mm fl oor cupboard is supplied complete with worktop. Meridian base units are supplied with corresponding plinths. Should you decide to create a run of furniture, a 1220mm, plinth is available. A 300mm in-fi ll panel is available should you require it to create a more fi ed look and can be cut down to complete a run of furniture.

Vanity Base Units The Meridian base units are available in a wide range of sizes to suit a variety of installa ons from cloakrooms to family bathrooms. The range comprises of a corner unit and 400mm, 500mm, 600mm and 800mm vanity units.

The doors and fascias are manufactured in robust MDF in a high gloss white fi nish. All units are supplied fully assembled for ease of installa on with a stylish chrome door knob on the unit.

The corresponding ceramic slab-top style basins complement the clean lines of the units and support the fi ng of a monobloc tap as standard.

CONTEMPORARY

This contemporary bath panel will co-ordinate with the walnut fi nish in our Kobe, Arc, Groove or Prime furniture ranges.

This panel is supplied with a height adjustable plinth. Please note these panels are PVC foilwrapped and not necessarily an exact match against real wood products. Overall height 430mm-560mm.

EVOLUTION

Aspen bath panels are manufactured from 20mm durable MDF with a tough, high gloss lacquer, providing a water resistant surface, which is vital within the bathroom environment.

MERIDIAN

There are a selec on of bath panels to complement your installa on. Aspen Cabinet Electrical Information (A65ca)The Aspen bathroom cabinet is equipped with low voltage halogen down-lighters and has been designed and independ-ently tested to comply with Bri sh Electrical Equipment Safety Regula ons. Cabinets are of Class II (double insulated) construc on, and are suitable for installa on within the outside zones of the bathroom under the latest IEE Regula ons. Installa on by a competent electrician is advised.
