The sole professional school (Approved Training Organization, ATO) approved by the DGAC in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region (FR.ATO.0073), Cannes Aviation offers either intensive PPL courses (about 3 months) or customized training according to your availabilities.
The teaching team is made up of experienced instructors - all professional pilots - devoted to your success. They emphasize on security and operational sides of piloting implementing reliable teaching methods and taking advantage of a high-tech fl eet of Diamond aircrafts, all in a perfect aeronautical environment. With more than 250sq meters of classrooms and 1500sq meters of hangars, Cannes Aviation offers you equipped computer classes, self-service study rooms, free Wi-Fi access, multimedia courses, personal progression electronic booklet, online planning,…
The all Private Pilot training takes place in the Cannes Aviation premises ideally located on Cannes Mandelieu Airport. Ground courses (long briefi ngs) are taught through multimedia presentations. During your training you have free access to the software and document school library.
The program structure is organised in order that each student can evolve according to its own pace. Session after session, you will acquire the basic knowledge and methods to easily progress on Diamond DA40, a 4-seat single piston engine. Then you will get your European Private Pilot Licence with SEP qualifi cation (Single Engine Piston). This will enable you to fl y everywhere in France and abroad*.

Cannes Aviation is located on Cannes-Mandelieu Airport, the second largest business aviation airport after Paris-Le Bourget. It is an ideal place for the private pilot training. It allows you to apply and achieve on every training session the educational objectives in a very effi cient way.
The training area has more than 30 nearby airports: Nice Côte d’Azur, Aix, Avignon, Gap, Fayence, Vinon, Le Luc, Cuers, Hyères, Le Castellet, Marseille, Bastia, Ajaccio, Calvi, Montpellier, Albenga, Gênes…
Cannes Mandelieu Airport is equipped with modern infrastructures that can accommodate private aircrafts, business jets and also helicopters. It has 2 runways oriented 17/35 and 04/22, a control tower, efficient operations staff and a classy business terminal. All major business aviation companies such as Netjets, Global Jet, Jetfl y, Vistajet, Globeair, Wijet, AirGo,… operate to and from Cannes-Mandelieu.
Moreover, you will have the opportunity to: Practicing over-sea crossings (Corsica), Accessing to high precision piloting aerodromes, some
allowing training to crosswind (mountain), Landing on most regional airports: a diversity allowing

TRAINING RESSOURCESAT THE CUTTING EDGE OF TECHNOLOGY
Cannes Aviation offers you a fl eet of aircrafts at the forefront of technology through the Diamond range and a "glass cockpit" simulator. This homogeneous set of ressources represents a solid base for a coherent and gradual training.
DIAMOND STAR DA40 GNSSingle engine, 4 seats, Diamond Star DA40 is a very good travel aircraft. Equipped with Garmin GNS430 GPS, it has excellent cruising performances. Its composite-based hull combined with a turbo-diesel engine makes the DA40 a perfect trainer aircraft to start with.Performances: Cruising speed: 120Kt / Autonomy: 6h00
DIAMOND STAR DA40 EFISIdentical to the Diamond Star DA40 GNS but with EFIS Garmin 1000 screens and an automatic pilot, the DA40 G1000 allows you to become familiar with the modern avionics jets. It allows student pilots to calmly foresee doing the transition to the DA42 equipped with same avionics.
DIAMOND STAR DA40 NG EFISThe most recent DA40, the NG (New Generation) is equipped with the 170hp engine from AUSTRO ENGINE. The hull remains the same as for the DA40 but it has "winglets" which make it easily recognizable. A brand new Automatic Pilot (GFC 700) is now embedded in the
GARMIN 1000 Avionics which makes it more simple to use and more effi cient.Performances: Cruising speed: 130Kt / Autonomy: 6h00
EXTRA 200Single engine, 2 tandem seats, the Extra 200 is an excellent aerobatic aircraft allowing to take on unusual situations such as spin recovery, big slope bend or also dynamic stall. Equipped with carbon central grider, you could test out load factor up to +/-8g. Furthermore the unforgettable aerobatic experience, the Extra 200 will allow you to understand many key aspects of Flight Mechanics.Performances: +/-8g / Around 120Kt / Autonomy: 3h00
FNPT II SIMULATORTactile feedback for stick and rudder pedals, 3D to 180° visual on a panoramic screen (3 video-projectors), the Alsim FNPT II DA42 is an indispensable teaching tool. It is equipped with a Jeppessen Data base covering all European terrains. The simulator is evaluated and approved every year by the DGAC/DCS.

PPL TRAINING SEQUENCECannes Aviation has developed a Private Pilot Licence training program appropriate to the environment in Cannes-Mandelieu and the features of its airplane fl eet. The training is phased and each trainee receives personalised follow-up by means of an online progress booklet to make sure that all exercises of the curriculum have been taught and mastered.
